If you don't mind traveling to Feralas (to the Twin Peaks) you can always do the quest:

To The Top ( http://thottbot.com/q3567 )

Then get the parachute from the vendor at the top. And jump down. BUT DON'T POP THE PARACHUTE AT THE TOP. THE SLOW FALL EFFECT DOES NOT LAST THE ENTIRE FALL.

Hi guys--keep on keeping on with the vids. Love em! As you know you're not likely to ever be able to please everyone with what you do, and sometimes I bet it feels like you're danged if you do, danged if you don't. Just hang in there and know there are plenty who appreciate your work.

Just trying to help figure out how to help y'all pack in the info to keep the hungry masses from storming the gates here, and I think Zand you've got the beginnings of a solution in this video. It's clear that you went into this vid with a good, clear idea of how this achievement could be accomplished. You executed it and succeeded, bada bing bada boom! Now if you were to pre-plan maybe 3-5 of these achievements per segment and tape yourself doing them rapid-fire, without much ado between them I think you might just have a winner. You can edit out a lot of the transition between achievements and go right to a how-to description of getting the next one. Then you've got more closely-packed info and I think folks might like that.

Come to think of it, you might consider that type of a concept for some of your future instance-run vids (I know you've already got several in the pipeline--that's all good). You can kind of choose highlights or special challenges from each instance and go right from highlight to highlight, or special tip to special tip--you get the picture. It's sort of a compromise between your earlier approach of doing all the trash mobs on fast forward and your current approach of doing the whole thing in real time. It would give folks the benefit of more concise info and still be able to enjoy your fun banter, which I personally love (I could listen to you guys goof around all day--you're hilarious). Now I know this would probably be WAAAAAAY more editing work, but hey--just kick it around betwixt yerselves and see if there's any merit to the idea. You guys are AWESOME--keep up the great work!

tbh this was not such a great episode and there were actually a few ways to extend on just this achievement, there are certain classes who have abilities that would allow them to get this achievement.
mages-ice block doesnt matter how high u r u will never die and the achievement is all urs.
paladins- using bubble to prevent all damage will also allow u to survive the fall pretty much like a mage but it does have a limit depending on the amount of time on the spell
and a secret way to get this- go into the raid Tempest Keep with others to get through trash, head straight to High Astromancer Solarian and she will put a debuff on u that will blast u to the exact height needed to get the achievement

cool movie
he changed his talent tree to survival :S

The best place to get that achievement is actually on the edge of darnassus for alliance... it is extremely fun to jump off the edge of one of the outer limbs and hope to god that you land in the water, also i am pretty sure that it has to be the longest fall in the game (at least a 1 min drop)

LoLz gron Survival is da shiz now.why no clue but adds lots of dmg to your shot rotation/

All you have to do is a simple quest in Northrend called "A Short Fuse" (it's part of a line that starts with "Exploiting an Opening" by Thessarian.) Sorry my Hordies, don't know if ya'll got one as well.

ANYWAYS, this quest will literally blow your character over the side of a pit and down probably 150ft or so into very deep water... and you do live through it. You might not like what you find down there, but you do live through it.

Another one, and this is how I got it on my priest as I had tried levitating off of Aldor's elevator and still didn't get it. Run through Teldrasil until you find an opening with some branches. (there's two that I know of.) Run along a branch til you can't run any more. Jump. You might hit another branch, you might make it all the way to water, but you live, 'nuf said.

Just out of curiosity, what if your Aldor? Can you still head to the scryers tier's right side to get this achievement?

February 10, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterRikes

Rikes, Juggy was in the background pullen the npcs away so that dorkins can jump without getting argo.

February 11, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterHansol

Not bad, I already had this one so it wasn't a big deal for me, but now I know Shatt town is another place to do it.

As others said with the shortness, I think that's just because he didn't have any bandages on him. Otherwise he'd have been able to heal himself and that would have given him another achievement.

Good work Dr. Dorkins.

February 11, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterNerrectuz

that is true Nerrectuz but does that not count only for Heavy Frostweave?

February 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSinndar

hehe, I did that and have 123hp left.

Geez, most of you are like ''C'mon I've waited 24 hours and you show me only 2 minutes? We need moar!''

I mean... PL is cool, but there are other things you know. Go out with your gf/bf, watch TV, hang out with your friends, play WoW, play Xbox or PS3. By the time you've done those, you'll probably have at least a couple of episodes to watch and enjoy.

We should be thankful they are doing these instead of complaining.

February 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterCarlos

I wondered where the best spot for that acheivment would be. That looks like a winner! I'll have to go grab this on all my characters now. I have obtained it accidentally on some of them (I got lucky!).

Also I agree with Carlos. I'm glad PL is putting out videos, period. I don't care if it's 1 minute long, I'm still going to watch it and enjoy it.

February 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterXplaced

yea i also agree with Carlos.
there are others things to do than just sit and look at PL´s website 24 hours
and its just great that they even bother putting episodes out so do stop QQ´ing.

February 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterIlishan

hey for lower lvl horde players you can get this achievement in undercity. go in the back way and take all the tunnels heading north you will drop into the green river outside the war area. i did it with a lvl 10 undead lock.

February 12, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterpheonixsashes

Only thing would of added is stripping gear off before attempting this one. Good vid since this one achievement where a visual aid is needed.

February 12, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterZaraken
