epic win guys, that achievement was epic, get more ACHIEVEMENTS LIKE THAT ONE =D

March 16, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterFlex

This method of getting the achievement has been removed from the game. Must be an old episode. Tried tonight. Moorabi despawns as soon as the hunter feins.

this was made in Janurary..if you look whe dorkins get an achievement in like the 2 or 3 part its said 1/19/09 i think....

As for doing the achievement you can interrupt the transformation with any interrupt (ie Kick for rogues)

March 16, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJoenips

Im sure Blizzard will be happy to see you guys making a video with an Achievement exploit.

Its not that hard of an achievement you need 3-4 people with spell interrupts and have them rotate interrupts.

i had about 10 add pop-ups this one video is this going to be the norm now? did you guys wait till enough people were watching without adds then slip them in and hope no one will notice?

March 16, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterNathan

Cheesing a boss isn't much of an "exploit".

This is currently the hardest heroic achievement in-game.

It's easy to say "get 3-4 people with spell interrupts", but the trouble is that the cast time of Transformation goes down 1% when his health goes down 1%, and after 50% hp, he casts it every 5 seconds. This means that if he starts the cast at 5%, the cast time will be a quarter of a second, which is impossible to catch except by dumb luck.

The only reliable way to do it is to get a shaman that's specced to have 5 second shocks, and pray to god they time the first interrupt during the first half second of the cast, then pray to god again that you kill him in the last 5 second window, because if he casts it when he's under 10%, you're toast, and can't really try again until tomorrow.

We've done every other heroic achievement, and been trying this one for a week (15-16 attempts so far), and still no cigar. Everyone is doing 3k+ dps, too.

Also,

"i had about 10 add pop-ups this one video is this going to be the norm now? did you guys wait till enough people were watching without adds then slip them in and hope no one will notice?"

Run a spyware scan, I didn't get any ads.

@Nathan

"i had about 10 add pop-ups this one video is this going to be the norm now? did you guys wait till enough people were watching without adds then slip them in and hope no one will notice?"

Yeah it's a big conspiracy to pay for expenses using ads. Are the ads annoying? Yes. Ads usually are. That being said it's a good thing no one is forcing you to watch the show.

One of the more fun episodes (all are fun though but this 1 rocked).
Enjoyed watching it!
And another Dr. Dorkins 2night! hooray!

i love it when hunters save the day. my guild and i were doin the heroic daily in azjol nerub, we were on the last boss, it was down to about 20% (maybe lower, it was after the last time it goes underground and the adds appear) and everyone but me (hunter) died. last hit i got in was mongoose bite ftw. sad thing is 3 of the guildies missed out on completing the daily cause they released thinking it was gonna be a wipe (had i known i would have let be a wipe). only other person to get the daily objective was our tank cause he wanted to watch the epic battle.

March 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterHommeverd

Epic episode :)

March 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDonk

Dorkins (the original hunter.....no offense Alex) ftw!!!

March 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSinsbane

Does the hunter who pulls him and make him turn into a mammoth and then feigns death (alex in this case) get the achievement aswell???

March 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLars

Dude I actually freaking clapped at the end of that boss fight. Great job guys.

"Congratulations Project Lore" lol.

March 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMalte

I'd like to know the name of the Addon i think Alex is using. The one with the floating tooltips which anchors at his mouse pointer. It looks awesome. I found an addon which worked the same, but standard tooltip sucks :P

March 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterPaul

Good job, Project Lore.

I guess Dorkins only cared about the achievement, and screw'd that you actually beet the boss x)
