Soloing: The Way of the Pug - Emalon

This week we're doing something a little different with soloing. First we've got a vault run with Dorkins and Juggy, then we'll have a mount run for the Swift White Hawkstrider.

Dorkins and Juggynaut learn The Way of the Pug and venture into 25 man Vault with a few people they know and a bunch that they don't. See what happens in this episode of Soloing - The Way of the Pug.

Gotta say was not expecting this this week, nice one Juggs and Dorkins.

Dorkins, you never got any t8.5 armor , don't worry hunters tend not to get alot of drops in this raid. You will get some in the end :)

But nice episode guys. And i love the title screen to this video. Looking forward to next boss, and your upcoming videos.

Lol, at the begining of the video, Dorkins looked so Jolly. :D Wow, awsome video, keep it up!

Solid product placements, Dorkins! Jinx should have given you the new shirts, though.

You should have been wearing this one:
http://www.jinx.com/world_of_warcraft/men/dalaran_university.html?catid=41&cs=2&csd=41&preview=1

Also, I noticed you had some sweet looking cordless headphones on. Who made those? I go through a lot of headphones and I need a better set.

The makers of the headphones are probably calling Alex right now QQing about how you plugged for Jinx but not them. And no, we couldn't see your longer hair because you were wearing a hat.

And no... I'm not QQing about the advertising.... I actually like it. Video production quality like you guys put out is NOT easy or free.

All in all, though... BEST EPISODE IN A WHILE! However... you should have listed off all TTRG members as scrolling credits to give your peeps their due.

Aww why did you have to go and blur my name out? Just because I beat Dorkins doesn't mean you have to hide me.

@Alayea

You sound so surprised :) In case you didn't notice the PL players aren't exactly great... Far from... Some would say terribad. That's personally why I watch this... It's a nice way of seeing WoW if you're cramped up in hardcore raiding where no mistakes is a must...

I hope you guys can keep it up, even though last weeks naxx run did seem like 5 guys that didn't really care about the game getting carried by 5 others through an instance that's worth shit. Maybe some wiping in ulduar would be an interesting video? But hey I guess wiping is interesting to watch...

@Somedurid

I wasn't saying that they're the best players, but they are pretty decent and I was expecting better. I mean sure, if it's your first time, I don't mind that. What I care about most is that people listen AND follow through (or at least do their darnedest best). Dorkins, imo, exhibited neither.

lol'ed irl when the boomkin ate it to the chain lightning; SPREAD OUT

Not quite a soloing episode....

June 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEdgarius

@ Half of the commenters

You all have to keep in mind A.) It is his first time doing the boss, everyone has at least a 70% chance of making a mistake during their first attempt at anything in their life.

B.)"What I care about most is that people listen AND follow through" you clearly are unable to watch the screen, as there are parts where Dorkins switches targets from Emalon, to an overcharged tempest minion, which is pretty much the main goal of the fight, spreading out would have reduced deaths, but in the end, they killed the boss which is the only part that matters.

Great vid as usual. I haven't run him on my main yet so its nice to know about the adds beforehand.

To all the people who keep whining about and QQing the episodes, you need to realize that they aren't hardcore raiders, they aren't constantly playing, and they don't live at home with mommy and daddy so they don't have to worry about the bills and food. They have things to do outside of WoW. They're providing you with videos for entertainment and information, if you don't like the way they do it, get your guild together and do it yourself. Shut up and enjoy or go away.

lol boomkin pwnt right next to you dorks.

"we are done with Elebinnian"

LOL

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDis

Enjoyed the episode. And to those who say that Dorkins killed the boomkin, sorry, that boomkin placed himself next to Dorkins not once, but twice.

I do miss the 5 man runs, but I'll take this. ;o) I'd love to see Project Lore go back to 5 episodes a week... *begs and pleads* 3 just ain't cutting it...

I would really love to see Juggy give a video guide on restoration shamans or just shamans in general. That would be cool.

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJing*

Agreed with Jing, I wanna see a Shammy guide from Juggy :D

Speaking of 1 month+ of no WOW, what have Zand been doing? It's like he stayed in a cave w/o WOW or haircut, reminds me of Goggins; hat and long hair hahaha :D

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterShamtastik

I like when the boomkin gets pwnt by chain lightning.

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterPancho

Great stuff! Never thought i would see the "way of the pug" but you guys proved me wrong.

ROFL @ moonkin death :)
QQ @ juggy death :(

Also is there anyway of seeing Juggy's screen while playing? Im guessing you guys tried/thought of it but meh I have to express myself as the curiosity drives me to ask.

ALSO! I have a few suggestions for "the way of the pug". Why dont you get someone who has a 70 character (like shnoobins or drdark or xeno) and PUG Sethekk to do Anzu, i watched the episode and you guys said you will come back to show him! PLEASE :D

Also #2! In the slave pens episode you guys fought the Ice Lord or something like that and got spanked... i say it is revenge time!

Other than that I am happy with the idea of "the way of the pug" and i wish you guys good luck with it :)

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDeeJayDieSeL

I like the concept, but I think PL can find any number of people to "star" in these that don't have a giant "they dragged me down here and made me do this" attitude.

It's. a. game. and. he's. not. having. fun. When would that EVER be fun to watch?

Find someone who is so jaded (from having a group of quality players carry them through every dungeon in the game) to "star" in these, and I think they would be an awesome addition to (but not a replacement for!) the 5- and 10- man shows.

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterZerbet

*isn't so jaded

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterZerbet

I wish Dorkins or Juggy would tell us when the group will be back. This video has been fun but it's been awhile since the guys have played together.

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMesster

I have no respect for raged dps. Dorkins didn't have to move once. Isn't it boring though not having to deal with novas and war stomps and all kinds of other crap.

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEddie T

i want moar of these

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterTrial

@Alyssa

I did watch the video. It was good that Dorkins did switch between Emalon and the overloaded add when he needed. I am aware it was his first time. I am also aware that a raid can sometimes afford some deaths. However, almost every single wipe I've been in is because of the /range fail, due to people either having a cavalier attitude about it -- such as you do -- or simply not paying attention to how their position is affecting others. So my comments still stand.

June 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAlayea

Dorkins did pretty good for his first time doing this boss. Over 4k dps and he didn't die.

I hope to see the rest of the PL crew soon.
