Showing Off Your Holiday Spirit In WoW

Now with presents actually under the Winter Veil Trees in Ironforge and Orgrimmar, all of us in Azeroth have a bunch of ways to show off our holiday cheer. Blizzard has put in a lot of great ways for players to interact with each other - we can sprinkle handfuls of snowflakes on people, kiss under the mistletoe, have snowball fights, play with our new racecars, build a snowman, bake cookies for our friends, or do all of the above and show off our new Merrymaker titles. I've always been a proponent of using the in game mechanics as a jumping off point for having fun with other players, which is why what happened a few days ago in Dalaran really amused me.
A couple of days back I was hoping for a heroic group to form or I don't know what else, but I was wandering around Dalaran as usual. I saw a horde character named Byerly walking around, and I mean press the slash button on your keypad walking, on his reindeer mount. It was interesting to me, and the walk/run toggle button is one of my favorites for horsing around during downtime. Anyway, I hopped on my mount and used some fresh holly to transform it into a reindeer and joined him in his slow march around the main portion of Dalaran. More players were intrigued and joined in on their reindeer, and eventually we had a mixture of about ten horde and alliance marching around Dalaran at a slow pace spreading holiday cheer... or at least having a good time. It was hilarious watching the slow line of riders. I got a couple of screen shots but only the above one turned out any good. It was nice to see that some horde can have fun with the alliance at least during the holiday season. Have you guys seen any interesting ways that players have been celebrating the holidays? Or what about gifts, did you get anything good this year?

Lol nice reindeer pararde
The holidays are turning out to be good for me.
Being a dwarf paladin all i got this year was a bunch of snowballs thrown at me for the achievement. Fun times though with the racers!
i mostly got money wich im glad for becouse i can afford the stuff i wished for
I had a group of 20 or so guildies(Horde) all transform into gnomes and dance in a circle around random alliance players in Dalaran.
Fun stuff :)
Snowballfights aren't that fun since they don't have too much of a use,you just throw'em till you're out.So me and my mates decided to play tag with a leather ball in orgrimmar, sounds childisch but such a load of fun when you're doing so
To Reyson: THAT SOUNDS AWESOME
Back to the topic! A guildmate of mine gave me a great idea just before the Holidays, and so I give him full credit here. His idea had something to do with a video, but the core idea was what inspired me.
I went to the AH and bought alot of "good" (useful) gear from levels 10-56 (and a few blue BoEs a guildmate gave to give away), and got a ton of wrapping paper. I would then find people, do a quick check of their gear, and if I had an improvement, I would wrap it and hand it over to them.
This got the occasional "wut?", but many more times I got a whisper not long after saying "OMG! Thanks for the sword!" It was kick-ass, no doubt.
I also went to several of the old WoW zones and offered aid to anyone who would have it. I killed Grik'nir, leper gnomes, Dark Iron Dwarves, tigers, etc etc, not to mention make a few friends along the way, even run into some old ones.
A few friends of mine even baked cookies from the over-priced small eggs and handed them out to everyone along side a glass of milk; you know Grandfather Winter was happy!
But really, I didn't type this all to brag. I was actually surprised by the response I'd recieved. Wouldn't it be great if all the 80s out there took their toons and helped the newbie out? Heck, we may find something else to do inbetween PvP, Raiding and RP...

I was shocked at the Christmas spirit everyone felt on my realm. I was in Hellfire and 2 DKs were questing together, for once they didn't gank me ( I put it down to Chhristmas spirit because who doen't miss the chance to gank a hunter?). It was all the little things too, people having healing competitions for cash, 50g for the biggest heal for groups of 14-19s. Mount racing in orgrimmar. Naked mount racing through naxx. But, the best was the Christmas gnomes raids on Ironforge.
It was pretty fun this year, seeing everyone joke about.
On Christmas day I got into a raid group to send our very own "Merry Christmas" to the horde by killing all of their leaders. Once we had completed the task we all got on our mounts, transformed them into reindeers then went to the horde side of Dalaran and took some screen shots to saver the moment. Oh what a good Christmas.
I had a lot of fun with the "Crash n' Thrash Racer" toy in Orgrimmar. The only problem was, the thing would sometimes not charge like it was supposed to and yet, you'd get the cooldown.
Kinda makes me think of the "blink" spell.
On New Year's Eve, Argent Dawn-EU witnessed the GREATEST line of snowmen in front of Ironforge Bank.
Whoops.... CHRISTMAS eve even.
I kinda dedicated my day to boosting several lvl 60's in Burning crusade instances, made a few new friends and had loads of fun :D
I'm with Shark. As a blood elf warlock all i got was snow thrown at me. It was fine the first 10 times but after that it got really really bugging. Also i've been a bit ill over christmas so yesterday when some draenei shaman threw the snowflakes, i followed her around for about ten mins throwing everything christmassy at her. Snowflakes, that wand of holiday cheer, snowballs and anything else i could muster. Damn them forcing me into Christmas. I'm a warlock, we don't do cheery!
@Kalcifer
Yeah, I really do think that Blizzard could've done without the achievement. That said, it was fun chasing down a dwarf paladin who saw me targeting him. At the end of the run, he thought he had lost me but... snowflakes attack!! Oh, and score for the Horde. XD
The most annoying race/class combo for me was the human warrior. I went into some battlegrounds, checked out Shattrath and Dalaran... And there wasn't one to be found. I finally managed to get one because he had just logged in Dalaran. I swear, that race/class is an endangered species on the Malfurion server.
im a newbie in warcraft lvl 12 bloodelf warlock the holiday season was fun i got a really awesome dagger from some guy it was also fun cause i got like half my guild do go on a paladin dwarf hunt >.<
GO HORDE but my guild did set up a snowball fight with alliance i was like being in battleground in dalaran and the alliance won oh well maybe next time
Haha ahh yes on our realm my guild had conections with an alliance guild i was in, so together we set up a snowball tornament in dalaran. It was a blast! before you knew it everyone was buying snowballs and hearthing to dalaran to join on our fun (of course the horde won), it was really great! As for out of W.o.W i managed to get some awesome warrior shirts this christmas from my girl friend and i got 100g on wow from one of my friends (ironc enough i sent him 100g for christmas!). All and all it was a good christmas.

Prot warrior : For the horde!
Bummer. No holiday cheer on my server of Nazgrel a.k.a. Nazphail. :) I wish some of the things you guys did woulda happened, all I did yesterday was have a party which wasn't even successful on the top of Ironforge.
only holiday cheer I had was the small snowball fight in Stormwind with some old guild mates and the epic flight I got on my DK. XD Beyond that there didn't seem like much going on.
