Project Lore's favorite hunter Zand wraps-up this week's Project Lore. And of course, one viewer question answered by one of the Project Lore guys. Stay tuned and find out who it is in this week's wrap-up.
Quest-wise, I would have to say that the quests in The Storms Peak were amazing. First of all you have the Bronzebeard quests that finally make something comparable to bringing Thrall to Nagrand. I don't want to spoil it for anybody that has yet to play finish them.
Also, the only quest that one-ups the flaming harpoon. Jumping from dragon to dragon and knocking off its occupants.
Since you asked about our favorite quests, I will share a few of mine.
A note before I begin: In order to experience most of the content, I have completed the quest achievements for Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, Grizzly Hills, Zul'Drak, and Sholazar Basin. I am currently level 80, and am working towards the one for Icecrown.
The Battle for Undercity. I mean, you get to raid Undercity with the King of Stormwind! (if alliance) Plus you get absolutely epic buffs and rewards. I mean.... a trinket that improves crit rating AND acts as a reusable, 2-minute cool-down healing potion? Very fun quest, it made the entire expansion worth it for me.
A simple run-and-talk quest, but with an absolutely epic cinematic when you are done. Also, a brilliant demonstration of Blizzard's staging technology, which blew me away. Note: this quest is a precursor to The Battle for Undercity.
#3:
The Iron Rune Construct quests from Walt in Howling Fjord. My first real experience with vehicles, and it (also) blew me away. Plus the quests give you a nice gun in the end. (I am a hunter)
#4: The Nesingwary Quests: No group-fight bosses is a very welcome change.
Dorkins, grats on 80! Hope you go back and do the Battle for Undercity quest! (You have to do pretty much all of the dragonblight quests first, however).
OK. I'm going to try to be constructive. 1. Zand - Your hair now and your hair questing... moderation ftw. Goatee's lol. 2. You guys had two deaths on trash in Nexus (you have TK/SSC/even Kara gear) - not sure how you did that. 3. The question from the viewer - 'look at your portrait, yellow, orange, red'? OMG, has Zand fired Misdirection on you Alex so you couldn't give a straight answer? To the viewer/asker, there are things called Addons, usually from curse.com. the one you want is called Omen. What you do is you do your thing watching how much threat you are causing on Omen. Too much threat, stop a second, let the tank get hold - tank has a million threat and you have zero? Knock yourself out. (tooltips are important tho). Peace, love, out.
(Recipe for the day: A child slowly boiled for two hours, put on a spit roast for half an hour, sliced, diced with mashed potatoes, peas, carrots and gravy)
Is the above recipe cruel? Is it more cruel than just say 'Get Omen Addon' to the child that asked?
You guys did the Nexus mid-November, by the time you finish Keristrasza it will be mid-Feb. A 3 month cushion is cool, and we should be grateful you are doing it at all, but come on.
There are plenty of things you guys can do after instances/heroics/raids. Solo Onyxia, go the wowhobbs(see youtube) direction and make yourselves heroes. This game has so much content, limiting what you broadcast because you will run out before the next expansion is poor.
My favorite quest(s) is the line in Icecrown, where you get to control one of those lurker creatures, the ones that look like undead ninjas crawling on all fours. When you control the creature, you have this really cool ability which lets you jump really far and make this super cool "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"-type jumps. You have to do several things while you control the creature, like starting fights between undeads, jump around on cliffs and knock off gargoyles and tow bombs close to those big bloated undeads. That quest line is pure pwnage!
"Then it turns red and things start chasing you." I found that funny. XD
My fave quest is kinda a line, and I know it's on the alliance side. You have to set off a Saronite bomb beneath Icecrown Citadel. Nice long fall into some water and you touch a kinda glowing black object. XD Took me a while to realize, "OMG! I TOUCHED ARTHAS' HEART!" and squealed like the fan girl I am. /pout
Opening quest is "Exploiting an Opening" You start talking to this ghost kid named Matthias Lehner. Once you're done in the hole there there's a couple more quests that bring you near him in other areas. TAKE THOSE QUESTS! "Do Your Worst" leads to "Army of the Damned" where you get to play as Arthas and use Frostmorne to raise 100 of your fallen soldiers... which you killed in the first place.
Then you'll be sent off to Sindragosa's Fall where you meet Matthias Lehner again. This time you'll pick up "Where Dragons Fell" and following that chain you eventually get to be Arthas again and you fight you know who *wink* in front of Icecrown Citadel. Oh yeah, you get to do that epic battle from WC3, you get to fight Illidan. /kiss
Following that chain you get to see Tirion Fordring destroy Arthas' heart and you end up having to flee or the Lich King kills ya if you try to fight.
And for all you really smart people out there, reorganize the letters and Matthias Lehner and I swear you will get a shock. Who is this kid anyways?

The new haircut is freakin awesome haha, and my favorite quest was the one for the Death knight beginning quest where you had to fight at Light's Chapel in Eastern Plaguelands.
