Totally Rad Takes On BlizzCon

Look up. See those guys in little boxes? Playing World of Warcraft? I know you miss them. We all do. But when site founder Alex Albrecht and his buddy Jeff Cannata aren't busy filming Project Lore, they spend their time on a little program called the Totally Rad Show (or is it the other way around?). Well, if you've been itching for your fix of these two handsome and very talented men, then you're in luck!
The latest episode of Totally Rad features segments filmed live from this past weekend's BlizzCon (on a side note, does anyone ever actually call it Blizzard Convention? That just sounds weird...), which means you get to hear your Project Lore favorites rap about Cataclysm for the very first time, as well as a few of those other games shown at the event.
If you don't recognize these guys, then you haven't been on Project Lore enough!
They talk about the pre-show leak, several of the new features, and the surprising changes made to Azeroth. Jeff goes so far as to call it World of Warcraft 2, a sentiment I have to admit that I agree with. Well, maybe more like WoW 1.5 now that we know not every zone is going to get such a massive face lift, but the fact remains that Cataclysm represents a major overhaul of the game in more ways than one.
Overall, it seems like the guys are really excited for the expansion, going so far as to say it rekindled a somewhat waning desire to play through recent raid content. Alex seems pretty enthralled with the ability to play as Worgen or go back into Deadmines at 85 (in fact, the crew's first time through the dungeon is currently replaying on Project Lore if you haven't caught it yet).
Even Totally Rad's third pillar, Dan Trachtenberg, seemed intrigued with the prospect of getting back into the game.
If you want to hear their thoughts on WoW, skip ahead to the 29-minute mark, but there're plenty of other cool (dare I say, rad) things in the episode. They include a review of Hayao Miyazaki's animated film Ponyo, the newest entry in the Wolfenstein series, and a segment on Epic Games' wonderful Metroidvania-inspired Shadow Complex (just finished it over the weekend, myself, and I can confirm the awesome).

Funny I stumbled across this PL post while watching TRS....
I love Alex, Jeff, and Dan, and TRS is definitely a webshow I watch often. For anyone who misses PL, I would suggest watching TRS for a good Alex and Jeff fix.
In some of their past episodes, you also get glimpses of Josh, Zand, and Jerry. :)
I've been extremely interested in the guys' current feelings on WoW, because it seems as though they have fallen out of love with it. :( I am hopeful at the moment, however... maybe a new expansion pack will fuel on new episodes for PL? Fingers crossed.
Cataclysm is making me a bit sad even though im a hunter :S I personally think that there are changes that are dumb as an example i believe ppl havent gotten enough time with Naxx, uld and the newest addition from the argent crusade.
I cant get my hands down over the new legendary axe and the fact that we get flyer's in azeroth :D
I hope we get to see more of the vanilla wow content.
Also i am a bit concerned about the new hunter focus instead of mana thing but i hope for the best and i hope that path of the titan's will just take the gaming to another lvl.
@Jordon: I hope PL will continue and i think you are right about the new patch. I hope we get to see some sort of preview of goblins and worgens like we did with DK's and expirience the first few new instances.
The Expansion is a long way off, don't expect it much sooner then next summer! There's much time to explore Naxx, Ulduar, and Icecrown.
...did they actually use my idea for a uture episode????

People who haven't been to naxx or ulduar are bad.
Cataclysm isnt gonna be here for a while..stop q'ing and gear yourself to raid
you have plenty of time to experience naxx even tho you should have already.
And there not breaking hunters...stop

I havent done Naxx to its fullness. Why? Partly because I saw this coming, and didnt wnat to build up my character so much to where I cant leave it.
The other part because I prefer 5 man Heroics moreso than 10/25 man raids
Keep this in mind, they announced that it, or the BETA, will be out b4 BlizzCon next yr.
@Xatu: I have completed both naxx and uld so stop talking about others and keep ur thoughts for yourself
If you haven't completed Naxx yet, you probably won't be doing it at all (unless you very recently got into the game) and aren't interested in raiding. I also doubt whether you'll be facing Arthas either (until the inevitable nerf of the like that allowed people to see the end of the TK/MH/SWP raids).
Each to their own, but I intend to get through all the raids to be released. (Downed all the Keepers of Ulduar except Thorim 25 so far, so a little behind the bleeding edge, but the raid comm I'm in faltered with membership at the start of summer). Have up to 3 months to get through the remainder of Ulduar and do the crappy Argent Tourney raids, then it's Onyxia Remix. A few months after that the main event in IC. Cataclysm is a year away, deciding not to get gear now is just crazy. Keeping up with gear will make levels 81-85 a stroll.
Aren't all heroics the same, over and over again, with no one picking up gear any more? Aoe, aoe, aoe, aoe, shard the loot, repeat.
Not really sure I understand Alex's logic. Why run Naxx, the least stimulating raid in existence, only to bow out when Ulduar is released. His reasoning is such a cop out (something about emblems?).
He can't admit he's lost interest in the game because of obligations to PL. Unfortunately he's not fooling anyone.
