What Our Titles Say About Us
The titles that we choose to have emblazoned over our toons (or lack thereof) can say a lot about what kind of players we are. And it also can say a lot about who we are in terms of what captures our attention in-game.
Personally, I choose a title based simply on what I think sounds cool. I'm partial to Champion of the Frozen Wastes, Merrymaker, the Hallowed and, now that I've got it, the Love Fool. None of these were particularly difficult or time consuming, I just like the way they sound.
But that would be different if I had any of the five badass titles that we've previously written about (the previous list included The previous list included Salty, Loremaster, of the Nightfall, the Immortal and any arena title), or any of the other extremely rare and difficult titles out there (I'm looking at you, Kingslayer). Add to that list a plethora of other titles such as the Exalted and the Insane along with some now-unobtainable titles. Now any of those, I would wear proudly.
But what does that say about me? Well, I suppose that like most other dedicated players, I can respect others who have put in the effort and time it takes, and also have the skill needed to garner a given achievement. And they might not have even put forth all that for the purpose of getting the title, but instead see it as a perk.
Here's something I didn't expect. Apparently, the "Love Fool" title means "I'm a whore" to some players. My guildies and some others who I've run a PUG raid with know I'm a girl in RL, but I don't go around flaunting it. Regarless, in just the couple weeks that I've been wearing my Love Fool title, I've started getting comments from random people in-game.
The first one came as I boarded a zep while on my quest to honor all the elders. Another player on board started whispering to me the lyrics to Lovefool by the Cardigans, starting with "Love me, love me, say that you love me!" Only when he pointed out my title did I realize what he was referring to. Then a couple days later in a random PUG, one of the party members kept saying in party chat "Loco want to be lovers?!" Apparently he had the Love Fool title, too. Bleh. I responded by focusing on out-dpsing him, which for some odd reason made me feel better.
I should have just changed my title instead. Locomomo, Champion of the Frozen Wastes. Not that hard of a title to get anymore, but perhaps the one that, out of all of my titles, could potentially strike fear into the hearts of would-be annoyances. I'll try it out next time.
What title do you like to wear, and what sort of reactions do you get from them?

I put a lot of time into getting my Bloodsail Admiral title and I'm keeping it!
My favourite title for my priest is "Wintras the Noble" I know its very easy t g get but i like the way it sounds. I also like my Bloodsail admiral and of the nightfall titles but dont really use them too often.
I like the Noblegarden one, Rasun the Noble has a nice ring to it.
i usually wear
"Loremaster"
"Twilight Vanquisher"
"Champion of the Naaru"
"Guardian of Cenarius"
Using Kingslayer almost all the time now. But during the world events, I sometimes use the appropriate holiday title.
i normally use my vanilla title, Master Sergent on my main, for the simple reason as its no longer obtainable, and hasnt been for years now!!
My main is a Forsaken so I run around with "of the Undercity"
I like Crusader a lot ... it fits the game and our goal.
That being said, typically I have no title up at all.
Ombrenoire the Elder - since I've been playing since beta of vanilla, this is kind of appropriate.
Ambassador
The Diplomat
Loremaster
The Seeker
The Explorer
Champion of the Frozen Waste - took me forever to get the last bit of this (The Occulus)
Chef
The Argent Champion
The Guardian of Cenarius
The Noble - works very well considering my guild is called The Honor
No matter what title i get i dont think i could ever get rid of Salty:)
I tend to use "the explorer" title just because it sounds pretty badass and it took quite a few hours of aimless wandering =]
