Project Lore WotLK Beta 2.7: Halls of Lightning

After defeating Ionar in WotLK beta Halls of Lightning, Project Lore buffs up and forges ahead deeper into the instance. What other looming mobs await these heros and what Challenges will face them? Watch and find out.

For these episodes, the team used premade level 80 characters, they are Dumpins, Shnooberella, Lylelovett, Uglynaut, and Undone. Remember that this was shot in the beta, so things can and already have changed since then.

Repentance has always been there. Its just you had to be ret in order to get it. Other than that love the show.

Love it guys. It was a shaky start, but now that you have your moves down, you're just flyin!

Jeff's Alladin reference was awesome. Jerry is halarious, but Jeff is doing a great job filling in. And watching Zand play Dumpins makes me want to level a hunter.

no problem streaming for me corgak, but I had a similar problem in one of the Utgarde episodes. Hopefully you can get it working, I had a good time watching this one.

Hilarious Aladdin reference.
Also, nice Repentance! Man, Pallys just got a whole lot cooler. Though personally I think they should have remained Ally now!

What is the name of that hunter ability that traps from a distance? That is sweet!

November 10, 2008 | Unregistered Commentercrazyjuggalo

Just as Mike has pointed out, Repentance has always been there as a tier 9 Retribution tree talent. It is necessary to add though, that it only lasted for 6 (six) seconds and had a 1 min cooldown, and besides, worked only on humanoids. The new version is 60 sec /60 sec cd, and also works on multiple mob types.
Now I do remember Jeff mentioned he used to play a tankadin, so I was really impatient about when he would finally discover this talent to see it in action. This episode made me proud of being a pally.

Does anyone know the name of it. I have a hunter and I cant find it anywhere.

November 10, 2008 | Unregistered Commentercrazyjuggalo

Repent is not new, just lasts 10x longer, it used to be either 6 or 10 sec I forget which but either way not long enough to be a CC.

Seals last 4x longer and no longer consumed when judge.

3 Different judges now for the 3 effects of gaining mana, hp, or anti running, but no longer refresh on hits.

All seals do damage now when judged rather then their random effects since there are the 3 judgess for the 3 different "debuffs" which means lets say you have SoL or SoR on because your used to that being your opening judge to help the healer a bit or are doing anti running, now when you JoL it not only applies the debuff to heal people hitting the mob but also does damage as well.

The paladin is practicly a brand new class now, sure its the same, but a lot different at the same time.

Oh and crazyjuggalo,
Its Freezing Arrow, which isn't learned till 80 which is why you don't have it.

Other hunter change I love other then the obvious pets are way more usefull now, less having to hold back when soloing since pets hold better threat now as well. Is that AoDH replaces AoM and AoH with effects from both at same time. Though i never actualy used AoM since I would just let my pet keep threat it is nice that it replaces both and that it gets the benifits from both talents, again the AoM part doesn't really effect PvE since you shouldn't be getting hit in PvE it is a nice change to PvP, being able to add the dodge of AoM without lossing the damage of AoH.

Repentence is not new just to let you know

This episode was ok, but kinda boring :/
Always the same pulls.
And I guess we're not gonna see a revamp of 10 days of knight -ep 9? that's to bad

PS: Repentance has been the 41-talent point in the retribution tree since the release of WoW in 2004, it used to be 6 sec, now it's one min in PvE and still 6sec in PvP

Yay! Pally light bulb. I was waiting to see when Jeff would realize about the new seals and judgments. :)

BTW It took me about a week to get rid of the Seal/Judgment muscle memory.

November 10, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterChristian

Lol, that Lylelovatt keeps saying "Vex". ITS HEX YOU DOWNER.

November 10, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterpoohead

seems like everyone has a safe CC on humanoids now. only classes i can think of that don't are warlocks, priests and warriors (DK?) (and Druid can use entangling roots indoors giving them a CC maybe?).
At lease warriors can tank and priest can heal. warlock?

November 10, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTaylor

yah repentance is rly good for cc, seal of command only does more dmg when stunned w/ judgements right? it gives each judgement an auto crit when the mob is stunned- love the show, make more videos!!

Good episode, this trash run was more interesting because we were seeing more 'new' ability uses.

Zand - the hunter Freezing Arrow doesnt have to be shot so that it lands on your target. You can shoot the 'trap' to be placed anywhere you think the mob will path to. Just toss it 5 steps in front of the target before the pull (along the path they'll run when pull happens). It's not an something that causes agro either, unless you hit them with the trap of course :)

if paladins stayed ally, hordes should've kept shamans. they both got a great class. another thing~
pallies may have gotten cooler, but they got super OP'ed since the new talent patch thing. they're critting like 3k's with white, at level 70!

I was happy when they came out with the seals and Judgment change. I had Macros up originally that did just about the same.

As for the Hunter's trap shot, (Not actual name. I think he mentions it in the first episode,) I believe that is a learned thing. So you might want to check at the hunter trainers for it. The hunters in my guild are saying they don't have it 'yet' which leads me to believe it is a learned, not a talent tree thang.

Anyways! This is going awesomely. XD I can't wait to run this as well.

Exciting episode i must say, however i was a bit shocked to see Undone using Seal of Vengeance for dps. He probably hasn't realised that Alliance Paladins has gotten Seal of the Martyr which is the same as Seal of Blood (The old Horde Paladins ONLY Seal), if he had tried out Seal of blood he would have seen a huge difference in his dps. So hopefully in the future we will see him using Seal of Vengeance or maybe Seal of Command which is also better for dps than Seal of Vengeance :P
