And ofc to that strat might be added since i have done this instance quite a few times on heroic....
The healer needs to keep up the debuff on boss that reduces his damage done and that poison attack stacks up to 3 times and works like a HoT (similar to lifebloom) so its enough just to keep 3 stacks of poison up and heal others in your party in between.. your tank mostly.

I was wondering if you could have 1 dps drake keep T.Rift up and the other dps drakes just keep dpsing, and when the whelps come out one of the drakes that isnt doing T.Rift uses time stop and they dps the whelps down. It seems like a good plan to me but i havn't done this instance so i wouldnt know. Type back and GJ Project Lore :)

That looked like an awesome instance. Going to run it as soon as I hit 80. Still need 5 more levels but I'm working on it. Fights like this make me for the level cap.

Is there a difference between heroic and regular, I don't remember all the drakes spawning in the fight just the arcane balls chasing you around.

Hey guys good show. Gratz on the Oculus clear. Just read today on twitter that alex is hitting 75 tonight. GJ. Hurry up to 80 imo.

Just wanted to leave a little info for when you end up doing this place on heroic. (little strat fixes that should make the fight much easier)

The one thing I saw that will cause you issues in heroic is your use of time stop. The actual use of this spell is ment to stop the incoming damage from Eregos' Enrage Assault ability (25% increased damage and 100% casting speed. 12s) If you just use time stop when he gets this buff it will help your healer out, since the tank wont be getting destroyed.

The target switching for dps can be avoided completely. The tanking drake has an ability, Searing Wrath, that does aoe damage and will kill all the whelps for you.

If you are having some healing issues it is also possible to have your healer dismount on that rock you were flying over and just use his normal healing spells on the drake. Just as long as drakes stay in range of course and return directly to the rock after you run away from the orbs in phase 2.

As I said before good show guys. Keep it up. Get to 80 and maybe you can do some of the Oculus achievements. The one where you only use dps drakes is pretty fun. (use the healer on a rock strat for that =D)

Starting at 7:26 I just couldn't stop laughing cause of that insane arcane spam like: "And STAY down!" :D:D

i love how you guys are all like "oh my god that helm is pimp!" but it's the exact same model as every blue plate helm from 70+ lolz

December 6, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterConxcore

What's the addon dorkins uses or zand uses for range !! and nice episode guys =D awesome as usual

December 6, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDante

I will say this, running Oculus is a lot of fun. Got to run it today, its just a really awesome and fun instance. If you're 80, its worth your while to run it first. Its the most fun of the 80 instances I've run so far... then again the only other one I've run is Utgarde Pinnacle... so not much of a comparison.

A bit about our strat on this done on Heroic, as a guild we decided to try a few different strats. The one that worked the best for us was, 2 healers, 2 DPS and of course 1 tank, Healers always spam 3 shots of the healing poison immediately followed by healing of the most damaged drake in the group, usually the tank. Dps stay on boss at all times alternating time stops but not immediately following each other leave some time between the time stops so 1 is always available for emergencies. Tank spam searing wrath each time whelps show up this burns them down like they should have been in UBRS rookery and not in the occulus. Rinse and Repeat for an easy victory.

As always guys Great episode and cant wait to see more in the days and weeks to come.

Just saying, as Jeff was spamming T.Rift, he forgot about the Shock Charges he was generating. He Could have used Shock Lance(?), and finished off the boss.
