"I got The Farm"

"Oh yeah, oh yeah... Hell yeah! Suck it! LOL. I pwned u foo. I got teh FARM!!! Mmuhahahaaaaaaa!!!"

So what? You took the farm in AB. And next time they'll take the Stables. And the next time I'll take the Mine, or they'll take the Lumber Mill. Or maybe the Blacksmith for fun.

Those people who boast in bgs how cool they are or how what they just did was so cool or how big their sword is are usually idiots. They're usually the ones who suck so bad cuz they just lost the LM and BS and are now calling themself a hero by taking a flag that wasn't guarded.

What is cool is if you do it as a team, as a focused effort and in response to an objective to win as a team instead of just being a pompas ass spouting how freakin' cool they are or how they 'pwned' someone three levels below them.

Battle grounds is a team effort. Communicate and work together as best you can.

And to all you idiot who think your gawds gift to Wow - Get a freakin clue! Until you can work as a team in bgs, you still suck!

This here and the "ket them cap 5" is why Whirlwind has a bad name

Hopefully my fellow alliance will heed your advice... I've been trying to get that message through for months now and it just never seems to catch on lol

It's a shame really that alliance has such a hard time with AB. Aside from faction stereotypes (which I don't believe in - both sides have a fair share of great players and 12 year olds) any clues as to why Alliance can't win?

Us Hordeys do seem to perform better in AB then AV never understood why or is that just the case of my battlegroup?

It's just the case with your battlegroup. In Bloodlust, we lose AB mostly, win AV nearly every time (yay free ~480 honour!)

I bought an AV tabard (60 marks) because I had them to waste.

Every once in a long while in my battlegroup(Reckoning), we(ally) work together in a BG. It is at these times that we win, even in the hated BG WSG. The only time that teamwork failure factor doesn't apply is in AV. Ally seem very able to blow towers up and kill generals in a faux sense of team.

"This here and the “ket them cap 5″ is why Whirlwind has a bad name"

Heee. I'm in that battlegroup too :)
Lol, maybe I should be ashamed of it.

Now here's my two cents.

From my experience, LM and BS are the caps you wanna focus on. BS is really important because its graveyard allows you quicker access to other bases.

It's really great to just hold 3 (4 is pushing it) bases, I dunno why there are idiots out there who try to cap five. Doing that ends up thinly spreading out the team so that when Hordies zerg (which they do quite a bit on Whirlwind), one base at a time is slowly knocked out.

And usually the downfall of my BG PUGs is when people get so cocky when we're winning 3-2 that they try to overtake the farm. Now it's great for stalling and all, but Hordies are rezzing @ Farm continuously so everyone who's attacking the farm gets knocked out. Then Hordies zerg the BS or LM while everyone's dead and all hell breaks loose.

Oh, and in Whirlwind, IMO, Alliance do seem to have bad communication skills (at least in PUGs). It seems that people tend to have the PVP "every man for himself" attitude. And if the overall group isn't performing well, these types of guys point fingers, say "OMG you guys suck" and leave.

It's enough to make you wanna claw your eyes out. And don't get me started on AV.

Lol, but enough QQ from me. I am surprisingly in love with AB atm. It seems that people are starting to get the idea about which bases are priority, but maybe that's just me. Maybe I've just been in good PUGs lately :P

(P.S. Sorry for the "I'm superior" attitude. I just realized I sound like a pig, but I'm too lazy to change it :D)

I'm pretty sure no one is reading this, but I MUST correct myself:

When holding 3 bases, it is not smart to just keep 5 on each and hope for the best. Opponent's counterattack will be to zerg one by one, and you'll lose. You kind of have to rotate troops around to the places that are being badly beaten. Shit like that.
