The achievements will be separated into categories of PvP, Dungeons and Raids, Professions, Quests, Events, World Exploration, Reputation, and General. A couple of the examples listed for achievements are Shave and a Haircut and Fo Grizzle My Shizzle. Hopefully the second one has something to do with skinning a bear and having it aggro all bears in the zone.
These things are going to do wonders for Blizzard, and will probably keep level 80s interested even more, causing players to spend lots of time and money getting just one more achievement.

Sounds cool, wonder if this will be in upcoming blizzard games like starcraft 2 and diablo 3 useing somthing with battle.net
This is now one of my most anticipated features of WoTLK, I can't wait! I've never really been that into gamerscore on the 360 but it always feels nice when you get a new achievement. But with WoW it'll be amazing to go back to old zones, do stupid stuff and get rewarded for it.
Did I hear right that one of the achievements is to have 30+ shaves from the barbershop? Reading between the lines a little bit... does that mean our facial hair grows back? Doubt it, but that would be most rad!
I doubt it would grow back and anyway, girls don,t have facial hair. But doesn't this ressemble in any ways to a quests in anyones opinion? I sure think it does, just that it is delivered differently and has a different reward. Not to excited about this one actually as some will probably be very complicated to complete.
Grow some pubes and use it b4 you lose it guys
I showed this to my girlfriend, she seems much more interested then I am. Not saying it's not cool I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I just think this is going to appeal to casual gamers who are going to expect rewards (purples) for getting something. eh...
I think one of the coolest features about the new system is the Feats of Strength, which will reward Pre expansion players of WoW for doing things that those who came later can no longer accomplish.
