Confirmed: WotLK In Stores November 13

Wrath of the Lich King in stores 11.13.08

As you may or may not have noticed, our home page is looking a little cooler (get it?). Included in that look is a key piece of information. In Stores 11/13/08. That's right, Wrath of the Lich King will be available at retail stores on November 13, 2008. How close was that to your guess? That means we've got approximately two months (or less, depending on when patch 3.0.2 is released) to do what we need to do before starting on the epic quest to level 80. After that, Outland is going to be empty except for Death Knights and dual boxers. Is that enough time for you? Are you excited or dreading it?

Remember to stay tuned to Project Lore for more videos from the Wrath of the Lich King beta in Utgarde Keep!

Don't gear up it's no use because you'll just be getting new greens and blues that are so much better I'd recommend saving gold and honor because that's the only thing that will be useful in WotLk and also getting Riding Skill up will help.

Lame. We just got Brutallus down and I was hoping to clear Sunwell before WotLK hit.

i think it will be simaler to when BC came out... a lot of BE pallys ( now death knights) and everyone leaveing into the new land.

Of two minds. I have 3 70s presently, but guild just started clearing Kara routinely and delving into 25 mans. There's still so much content I haven't touched, and I know that once WotLK is out, its going to be hard getting people to go to the "old boring stuff" so I can see content I've missed. As a result, I'm in this seemingly last minute push to see things I've not yet experienced. Maybe I should have gotten started sooner, but I love my guildies and didnt want to outpace/outgrow them... :( Hopefully the transition won't be as drastic or abrupt as pre-BC to BC was.

i really have mixed views on the expansions. i love seeing all the new content, but my play schedule is really off and on, which means that i miss out on alot of the content. i didnt play pretty much at all this summer, and when BC came out i was in school, so ive missed out on pretty much all of that content. however, i think that because i dont really play very much, blizzard has more of an obligation to the hardcore players who have been doing endgame since a week after BC came out

I'm gunna dread this thing.

I still need to hit 70 (level 61 right now) and I'm gunna have really bad gear when I get to Northrend dew to people not doing 70 heroics or doing Kara ect. I better level myself quick if I'm gunna enjoy this expansion!

i have the whole next week off!! perfect timing woo

i do enjoy watching people fight over things. as in WAR and WoW, and even the realease date. yes it could have been a leak, yes it may be official (as we know now), but blizz did put the pre-patch out pretty soon, i was still thinking of a dec release since tons of people were still getting beta keys, but they announced it for Nov. and it makes since. they were more ready than they let us know with the beta, and its a great counter to WAR that they get things out sooner. as long as they dont have problems flowing everywhere, they'll do just fine, and i hope u enjoy the new xpansion.

i cant find any info on the expansion's collectors edition price and availability. i want to go buy it on 11/13 anyone got any info?

September 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDavid

I find it hard to believe that anyone already has a pre-order for the CE, considering the CE has only been ANNOUNCED that it will be available in a few locations. The only version available for pre-order at this date is the regular x-pack.

i guessed december 19th for the holiday season i was off.
