dr. dark the reason he killed you was because you used blade flurry and when attumen popped up it hit him and gave you the aggro with = death to you :P

Great episode. I enjoyed it. Don't know how many times I've done this fight but this was still a lot of fun to see you guys run it. I especially enjoyed watching half of the room get pulled at once. Can't wait for the next one.

nice chain pulling with a 12 pull

"There is no moon... There is only Zool." Nice episode guys. Keep it up.

Great episode guys, also, I believe DrDark died so fast because LyleLovitt needs to tank Attumen away from the group, he was just standing there while the 'frontal aoe', as you put it, killed you.

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDarnus

Well first thought is... not much on discription on how to pull, and CC yes PL is about boss strat but wow. Also forgot to mention the aggro dump during the change to mount phase. I love the PL as they truely show excitement in playing the game but should make sure all the facts of the boss fight are mentioned.

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLilschass

@Lilschass
Going to agree, a bit more talking about the aggro dump would be great for those people who 1) dont know the fight - 2) always forget and then die.

PL: Keep up the good work, and i know Kara is boring once you've cleared it a million times, but remember, not everyone has cleared it even once. Give those players some info on what strats work on trash and what doesn't. If something needs CC (which there is hardly any needed in Kara) say it.

One last thing - More totems please :)

Awesome ep, as always... Been saying that to like every episode so far.. should make a macro... ive still to do kara, and im really looking forward to it ^^

It takes a few seconds till Attumen comes, you popped all your CDs including “blade flurry” that’s what aggroed Attumen and killed you.

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterEnvain

Lol how did Alex remember that line from Ghostbusters:
There is no moon… There is only Zool

P.S - what is master looter i never used it?

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPromitheus

@Promitheus
Master Looter = you control all loot that is of Green, Rare, or Epic Quality (or higher) based on what you set it as. It is used to keep people from Ninja'ing all the loot. If you are ML and Ninja everything, Blizz laughs at the other players for letting you be ML.

During this fight if you have an off Tank warrior grab Attumen when he spawns and keep him Disarmed his Shadow cleave won't it as hard. Also keep him Disarmed when they mount up and he wont hurt as much.

Love the show its alot of fun. DrDark died do to having "Blade Flurry" going at the time they seperated, so he took aggro.

"Snake"

Our strat is basically tank each one at the wagons.. so OT is actually tanking Midnight and MT takes Attumen when he appears. We then split them up to the two wagons in the room, this is mostly so no one gets cleaved by Attumen. ONce they join back up at 25% percent MT takes over and everybody heals and all are smelling Horse butt. Also if we have locks or other dots, should stop at 30% until they join because of aggro drop.

Oh yeah, lets get a druid in there.

I just want to know who kept pulling the trash too early...

Ok, Drdark, you need to pick better enchants, seriously.

40 stam 12 agil to your legs?!?!
Nothing on gloves or boots?!?!?

Please put +15 agil on your gloves, Cat's Swiftness (+6 agil, incr run speed) or +12 agil on your boots and for the love of all that is holy get Nethercobra or Cobrahide leg armor. Stamina comes naturally and a good rogue doesn't pull aggro. Besides, if you do pull aggro, you're going to die whether you have 9700 hp or 6900 hp.

There are no excuses for a rogue who is featured on a show that teaches and guides people in this game to be poorly enchanted.

I really enjoy watching you guys for sure, and I'm not trying to say you're a bad rogue out there but I'm afraid of the message that you're sending to other young rogues who may look up to you and model their enchants/gems/spec after what they see on someone as high profile as you.

There are a couple questionable gear choices too but those are acceptable if they're properly enchanted and gemmed in my opinion due to the nature of RNG on drops.

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterIkilu - Troll Rogue - Uther

Uh oh everyone is reaming DrDark ;p

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPanna

hehe

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterWyche

Yeah..... not everyone can afford to go out and chant their items whenever they get new gear.

Leg chant for Drdark would cost 250-400g as opposed to like 40g for the Celfthoof armor kit.

Needless to say I still haven't bought the Nethercobra armor kit for my rogue and prolly won't any time soon.

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDreager

You guys really should be teaching people to pile up. Every group I've ever gone with just sits on midnights ass. With a good pally tank, we don't even need to tank huntsman. Then in phase 2 there are zero charges.

We also do curator the same way. by grouping up the orbs don't stray very far and are easy for melee to kill.

This strategy becomes very important in later instances. The brutes in gruul's lair need to be grouped up on or a lot of raid members will die as the tank looses agro.

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered Commentermabo

If memory serves - we weren't exactly "happy" with the run. Minus the animal boss, this was the first bigger boss and it was hard to find our stride with half of us not being able to hear the other half.

The other five of us were in vent chatting and we had a feed to hear them - but they couldn't hear us back except for raid chat - which isn't super easy to take time to type, let alone read during a fight.

I know, excuses. But some background.

September 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterWyche

If you down a boss, then you did it right. Granted the strat the good Dr. gave wasn't followed but if you have 9/10 still up and the boss goes down, then who needs the strat.

As for why DrDark died... when Attunmen appears, he'll spawn and attack either the first thing in aggro range or jump into your group of healers. Midnight was tanked right around where he spawns and unfortunately it was on top of your face. Ya, other people mentioned the blade flurry but if midnight was tanked away from the spawn point then that might not have mattered. Most raid groups will tank Midnight further to the right so that Attunmen doesn't one shot the melee DPS.
