Episode 9.3: Karazhan

Project Lore and pals drop in on Moroes in the middle of dinner in Karazhan. Will Moroes be a gracious host and allow Project Lore to pass or will this rogue try to serve Project Lore to his guests?  Find out on this episode of Project Lore.

As Karazhan is a 10-man raid, the guys wrangled in five members of the Totally Rad Guild to help them out. Here are the armories for everyone involved: DrDark, Lylelovett, Goggins, Dorkins, Xenophontos, Manifesto, Talonni, Bastosa, Wyche, and Wilx. Everybody is ready for all of the bosses, so let's see how things go.

Remember that our subscribe page has links for Project Lore all over the web. You can use our Episodes RSS feed or Twitter to find out when new episodes are out, and don't forget to join our Facebook Group, Facebook Page, and MySpace.

One more boss fight this week, tomorrow at Noon Pacific, and Alexis will wrap things up on Saturday at 3pm, so tune in!

Best (yet worst ever) Star Wars jokes of all time. Thank you Lyle.

As for what's in that room: someone has to tell me too - I think I'll head in there some time on a saved run after it's clear and go looking around the entire mansion just to see the places I havent looked at yet.

Hey guys. :D
I just wanted to tell you that the rumors of upsidedown Karazhan through the locked door in the kitchen come from the Warcraft novel The Last Guardian, which is the supposed story of Medivh's fall and his opening of the dark portal, but is told mostly through his apprentice Khadgar's experiences. Its actually a really interesting read, and in the very end when Sargeras has completely overcome Medivh's mind he kills Moroes and the Cook (which is where Moroes the undead boss comes from) and goes deep within an upside down version of the tower of Karazhan through a secret passage in the kitchen. It is there that Khadgar and his half-orc friend(?) Garona confront him (they have Medivh's childhood friend who is the champion of Stormwind with them too but I cannot remember his name D:). He actually makes Garona go crazy and decide that she wants to assasinate the kind of Stormwind, whom earlier in the novel was one of the few humanoids who was decent to her. Shes a rogue, which is why Garona's Signet Ring is a very roguish item.
Sorry if this is all rambling, but I really like the story. I read it about a year ago, so if some of the more minute things are off, sorry!
And on a video note, I love Goggin's songs. They make me happy. :D

There are stairs in the kitchen area that go down to where attumen and the repair guy is. There's also an NPC named Bennet but he doesn't do anything.

They could add something on to kara in an expansion, but I havn't heard anything, but there is supposed to be an exact replica of the tower underneath it except it goes down instead of up.

There is also an area where you could go behind kara (near the graveyard) it goes underground and is pretty creepy, but it's blocked off. I don't think they're going to add anything soon but they might.

The area after moroes is just an alternate way to get to moroes. its the trash pull after midnight... where those spiral stairs are, that can lead u to the kitchen and into the ballroom

Hey Guys,

Even having gone through all this content I still can't wait to watch the daily vid, you guys crack me up.

I do have a suggestion, I find it odd you putting these vids out to show people the instances and give them strategy but you don't mention things to be aware of on the pulls leading to the bosses. For example, you may have wanted to mention that when people first get into Kara they normally shackle a mob and if have a hunter ice trap. Most groups first getting in here can't handle the whole groups of 4+ mobs

Also, the mobs you pull at the far ends of Moroes's room, they will get the tank drunk making them take A LO more damage. Lastly, there is the stupid skeletons that can give brittle bones to tanks so you will want that to wear off or switch tanks until it is gone or their armor is useless.

Thank you for may daily entertainment and escape during the workday.

Great job guys... btw in your video you say Moroes drop aggro when he vanish then you guy can fight the prot warrior, actualy Moroes dont drop aggro he come back on the highest threat but yeah good idea to fight another one while hes vanish instead of staying there and wait for moroes to come back
Continue your good work... have so much fun to see your videos

Dorkins FTW, keep it up guys funniest episode so far, i really hope you do netherspite i have done kara loads but have never been in a group that has even attempted him that wud be an epic show :P

The book "The Last Guardian" tells the story of Khadgar during his life as Medivh's apprentice. In the book, there is an upside-down version of Karazhan behind a hidden door. Supposedly it's a lot more dark and demonic than the upper-half.

BTW -- the childhood friend of Medivh and "champion" you're talking about is Lothar, Naminee. I'm not sure, but I think King Llaine (spelling?) was a friend of theirs as well.

October 2, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDraeldor-Mok'nathal

For PVP severs their is a back entrance that allows you to go under Kara if there is a gank fest going on at the front door. (not the door to the second half of kara)
