PTR 3.3: New Raid Quests Added

The Patch Test Realm continues to bear fruit with the addition of new repeatable raid quests to the game. As if you didn't already have enough ways to earn badges, Blizzard is giving you one more! Don't worry, you won't have to do anything fancy, though. I think they more or less speak for themselves:
If you still don't get the gist of it, each quest will require you to enter one of Northrend's raid dungeons and melt the face of one of their biggest, baddest bosses. Doing so will reward you with ten -- count 'em, ten -- Emblems of Frost, which are presumably the new currency used to by Tier 10 gear.
We don't know a whole lot about how this quests will be handled, but due to the nature of lockout periods and the number of badges being doled out, I think it's logical to assume that you'll only be able to complete one a week. There's also a pretty good chance that the NPC giving them out will do so randomly. Of course, for the majority of guilds, that's going to make some weeks far easier than others! Kill Patchwerk? Well, OK then! To be fair, none of the bosses are particularly tough, and most can be accessed without going to far into their respective raids.
You may notice a new face at the top though... Lord Marrowgar? He is, indeed, a new encounter that players will face in Icecrown Citadel. Hopefully we'll get the chance to face him as the testing process rolls on.
How about some feedback, readers? Are these quests a convenient way to earn some badges for guilds that might be having trouble with the upcoming raid or just another nerf to the gear system?

^fail..dont do that and not leave a coment you idiot.Anyway that's a little odd but mabye it will take 100 for each part lol tier 10..i wounder what it will look like probably a similar look to the current 9.0/9.5 only different for factions.*bonus i can finish getting my 7.0 * yea im still pretty far back lol*
i dont see how getting embloms for easy bosses is nerfing gear. look at burning crusade. All bosses dropped badge of justice. even illidan and the bosses in sunwell. I sure my guild could do like the guilds that get worlds first if all i did is play wow. i have a real life. i have to pay bill. i dont live in my mom and dads basement playing wow 24/7 on my real there was a 80 in 35 hours. from wrath being realeased. i would have been around that too but i had to go to work. So by helping the casual player, get better gear i think it help out because most of wow players are casual. Also this has nothing to do with this topic, but i want o know if this new thing with gear score is just on my realm. seeing now in trade looking for more for ulduar. must have at least a 2500 gear score. apperantly you get this from wow hearos or something like that. is this just my realm or does this happen on others too. this is a new thing because this never happened before with bc. need your thoughts.
Who taught you people how to write the English language?
ps: Those dailies/weeklies are going to take people back into raids like Naxx and Ulduar even after having full 226+ gear. I think it's a good thing, you can't learn raiding skills just from H Nexus and UP :P
I had wished they came out with this feature, a weekly raid quest to go in and kill somebody.
Dreams do come true.
:D
last one to patchwork is a boiled egg!!!!
This is a great addition to help improve the experience for casual raiders getting them deeper into end game content than they might have otherwise. good move blizz.
I wonder how this will actually go live?
I would not think that both:
1) all these quests are available every week
and
2) they all continue to give 10 of the new frost emblems
I would guess that only one of the particular boss/instance combinations would be available on a weekly basis
This will help casuals get some good gear. Since the harcore guys will be raiding some of these to finish those quests, casuals can tag along and see how it feels to play endgame content.
@Drstealth
I'm assuming that it'll be one random raid quest a week, too. If they did allow all those quests at once, the emblems required for a vendor item would have to be pretty high.
Yeah, it's nice this quest system (like the actual one with Triumph badges, now people do Oculus, for example).
But, tier 10?!? Holy... man, I play like 4/5 hour day, I still figthing to get my first t9 piece gear (ok ok I have the thrown for my tank) but hey, this isn't a little bit rushed??
in my opinion, t10 to soon. i myself am just getting some of t9. haveign jsut got out of 8. its a all being replaced so quickly. it would be nice if thay could just stick a tier out there, and let people get it
I finally managed to access the PTR, and immediately went searching for where to pick up a raid quest. After taking a cursory look through the Argent Tournament Grounds, I hearthed to Dalaran and headed into the Violet Hold. As it stands right now on the PTR, Arch-mage Lan'alock (the guy you pick up the heroic daily from) is the questgiver for the new raid quests; there was no heroic daily to be picked up as well, however. Wondering if they'd changed the heroic daily questgiver to Arch-mage Timear (regular dungeon daily questgiver), I moved over to Timear and talked to him. All he said was basically "I foresee that you will talk to Arch-mage Lan'alock." Offered no quests whatsoever.
What do people make of this?
In my opinion, this IS a nerf to the system. In a sense. T10 is way to soon. People have been working into ToC finally, and heroic.. only to know that by "farming" those easy raids that practically no one goes into for anymore other than Emblems of Conquest to get the top. I'm totally for making WoW simpler, but when you bring it to practical redundancy, it seriously beats the dead horse - as they say.
I swear I once heard that they wanted to simplify the Emblem system and that it's going to somewhat be like Burning Crusade where it's just 1 Emblem / Badge but it's alot of them, but looking at this I think they've said fuck it! First Emblems of Heroism and valor. Now Conquest and we're moving on to FROST. It's not simpler, it's more complicated to understand what you have to do, to time this, or that.. to get X amount of Y badge to get this - only adds to the confusion of the "casual" player who takes breaks inttermittedly.
Just my 5 cents on the matter.
