Let's start this off with the most pressing matter, Love is in the Air. Blizzard's take on Valentine's Day kicked off early wednesday morning aside an amusing bug. I am sure those that logged in saw the server wide message that the "Ice Stone has melted." The erroneous message stems from last year's Midsummer Fire Festival and the encounter with Lord Ahune. The kicker is that Blizzard had no idea what was causing it, or how it slipped into 3.0.9. It has taken Blizzard's superstar team over a day to track down the root of the problem, which will require a realm restart later today. At least Kisirani had some fun with the flooding of Azeroth.
For those of you looking to participate in the Love is in the Air seasonal, you best take a look at WoWHead's excellent guide. If you are one of the hardcore achievers out there, then you are hopefully well on your way with Fool for Love for the meta-meta achievement, What a Long, Strange Trip Its Been. It is also worth a mentioning that the Lunar Festival commenced earlier this week.
Unlike previous seasonal events, this is one that doesn't interest me, much. Despite my general lack of excitement, the bastards at Blizzard made it pretty difficult for me to ignore the event entirely, due to the addition of an amusing non-combat pet. I love those little useless distractions. To obtain the pet, players are required to get jiggy with guards and/or NPCs of their factions for Gifts of Adoration. If you are incredibly lucky, than a Truesilver Shafted Arrow will be found in there, otherwise you must wait an hour to try again. I'll be going after gifts as often as possible, but I will leave the achievement grinding to Juggynaut.

On the news front, the PvPers out there are probably ecstatic to hear that the World of Warcraft Arena Tournament will be returning for its second run. The 2009 season has been updated to include Wrath's changes, pre-made level 80 characters, a prize pool of $200,000 and even in-game objects usable on the live realms like the “Vanquisher” title and this cute Murloc pet. God, are they trying to make me fail at PvP on a global scale?
Any one a Fool for Love yet? Remember folks, the V-day event closes on Monday, so get a move on. I am 0 for 5 in my endeavor for Kwee Q. Peddlefeet. Any readers gonna sign-up for the Arena Tournament on the 17th?

Nice blog, thanks for the explanation of ice stone thing, it was really confusing me. As for the arena tournament, me and 2 of my real life friends are gonna sign up for it, i was such a blast last year, i would feel like i'm missing out. wish they would confirm a starting date...

I'm incredibly frustrated with the 60 minute time limit. I know Peddlefeet is not a requirement for the big achievement, but he's really all I want. I wish he wasn't soulbound so I could get friends who don't want one to send me theirs. ...or I could try for him on my alt characters.
I'd like Blizzard to fix the over complaint of burst damage in arena before renewing the tournament. Otherwise its going to be an over abundance of warrior, paladin and death knight players.
Also, why can't I get the Truesilver Arrow? I think i'm hated.
As an avid pet collector (currently at only 71 pets after peddlefeet earlier today) ((72 if you count the coyote hat)) I was not pleased with how peddle worked this year. I got lucky and got him when i was able to slip home during work to check my gift.
I think they should have made the truesilver arror a one time use BoA item so that alt farming would still be possible but, whoever gets the drop gets the points. This would have allowed those who really wanted just the pet for thier collection to get him without making it too easy for the achievment hunters to get the points.
On another note, I will be signing up for the tourny. I've played a total of 20 arena matches in my life but, a chance at an amored murloc! You bet I'll be there. I still have to find out the details and if me and my girlfriend can just do a 2v2 team or if you'll need to get a 3v3 going, etc.

THE ICE STONE HAS MELTED!
Got 'Fool for Love' yesterday. Proved to be not much trouble other than logging in once an hour and getting a fast group to farm 1st boss in UK 4 times :)
It was a hellish grinding for me for the past 3 days, because of the V-day starting on Wednesday and my game time ending on Saturday.
But by a miracle I got the title on Friday, after endless of efforts and cursing the Thunder Bluff guards for not giving me my http://www.wowhead.com/?search=bag+of+candies
Love fool was easy took me a day to do, and i got three freakin baskets!!! yeah i got three and if they werent soulbound i'd give em away! As for the arena i think i mite however my mains a tank and i really dont pvp but i'll see how it goes.
I was having fun with the message. XD Every time it melted I would /y "NOOO!! MY SNOW CONE!" Then it got annoying and I learned that if you turn off the Battleground Neutral in your Chat log it'll stop. *Snickers* Fun story is, I didn't know it was part of an event last year as I was off line for a while. (V-cay!) Anyways, I picked up a quest on one of my characters that I didn't do before over in Zul'Drak. I started freaking out. Was I suppose to deliver something somewhere before it melted? What? Took a full three hours of frantic searching in my bag for an "Ice Stone" then looking for it on Thottbot and finding nothing to do with a quest that someone mentioned they were seeing it too and that it was a bug. ARG! I was stressed over something for no reason. Q.Q

on somewhat unrelated topic when this damn patch hit wow its nighmaire for me i cant do winter grasp cause i freeze up and wont able to do anything i am llways glitched dungeon pulling thing i should and tan getting kicked for tand it takes long as hell to log on go a difrent place i know it will be even worse when the patch is live it allways is but i just wanto know when can comeback to playing wow i allready got my love fool title that mending heart achievement is a big bitch

I'm surprised that no one has asked this, but are any of the guys that are doing Project Lore entering the tourney? I think it'd be great to see how well they do!! The qualifiers run for 6 weeks, that would be some great content to see on the Project Lore site.
