Running out of End Game...

One of my favorite things about playing World of Warcraft has always been the sense that the game is unbeatable. There is always something to do, always ways to improve yourself, and always something to suck up your time if you want it to.
Getting a bit of a late jump into TBC raiding, the sense of things I hadn’t done and bosses I hadn’t seen was overwhelming. I loved having far off carrots to chase after and drive me to work on my character day after day.
Lately though, I have grown concerned. I know lots of people are saying it, but I am honestly starting to believe that the current amount of content is very inadequate. I have long ago downed every boss in the game. When I saw Malygos go down for the first time, it was bittersweet, but I knew there was lots more to do because of the achievement system.
I was content with the fact that while there weren’t any new bosses, there were plenty of new and challenging ways to kill those bosses. The problem now is I’ve spent the time over the last month or so and earned a lot of those achievements. And now I’m faced with the feeling that there aren’t even enough achievements left to keep me very interested.
Sure I will likely keep farming Naxx until I have my gear looking exactly how I want it, and I still have the matter of killing Sartharion with 3 drakes up, but I very much want a longer laundry list of things I could still be doing.
I consider myself a fairly strong raider, but I am nowhere near as hardcore as a lot of people. If I am running into this issue, I’m sure there are many more than myself who feel the same. In my eyes Ulduar can’t come soon enough, and if Blizzard wants to keep its more dedicated players interested there isn’t a moment to lose.

"I consider myself a fairly strong raider" right you raid 10 mans and consider yourself a strong raider? gtfo.
@Jeenyus
L2Armory bro. Oh wait, thats too hard. Lets get an armory link for your main. My guess is you haven't cleared 2 wings of naxx. TRG has had all the 25 mans on farm for weeks, and will likely down 3D sarth tomorrow. Ahhh, the internets... Anonimity + An audiance = Total dickwad. Man up and link your shit, or crawl back in your hole and /wrists.
I will agree with the Almighty Steve Bastosa on this one. I look forward to raid night, due to it giving me something to do. I have grinded out full sets of PvP gear on 4 toons now and grinding at the moment is just boring. Raiding is what I look forward to now.
To the people who claim to 'have a life' so they cant get to end game content:
You obviously have no life. If you must come onto a message board, about a world of warcraft podcast and spout your supposed 'life', you are a loser. You have less of a life than I do and should kill yourself. Do the world a favor.
Love, Feralface.
Well im not exatly running out of stuff to do i got into WoW right when BC came out and got bored so i quit. Then i got back about 1 year ago and took my time, i wasnt in a rush so i tried almost all classes to 20-30 and ended up levling a warrior once i got to 70 i notised something while being happy of finally being able to hit the end-game.......Wotlk comes out in 2 days :PPP. so i didnt get to do any raids or even a fraction of BC content.i started Wotlk taking it slow aswel, i started getting annoyed by my warrior which i deleted and changed realm,i tried lots of classes got bored and played Left4Dead for about a month ignoring WoW now im leveling my main a Dwarf pally with no help from any other toons (well hes the only toon on the server) hes currently lvl 11 and im having fun. So by taking my time i wont run out of content for a LOOONG time. :) (and no im not crazy for deleting my warr she was Nelf female and i got annoyed at her weak appearance and the way warrs work I HATE RAGE...) well thats my story :P...
Thats part of the reason i am not rushing to 80...now i am trying to get all my alts up right now i am workin my DK since he was naturally my next closest to 70 (the level i am moving on to my next toon) in fact next time i get some time to play i am gonna get my DK to 70 and start working on my priest again...it doesn't mean i won't work on my characters once they hit 70 i just won't make a point to start leveling them until there is a bit more to do once i do hit 80...te i could just level them to 80 and then switch but if i get tired of my alt i will go to do a few quests maybe an instance if anyone needs me or farm some herbs or greens for DE...however the downside is if i take to long to get to 80 i will fall far behind with my gear which of course is why i am gonna keep an eye on the patches so i know when to tart leveling XD
I doubt if you can really ever run out of things to do in WoW.
Not even going with game content. How about since you are level 80 and can easily make a few hundred gold in a couple hours, How about making your OWN quest for lowbies. Think of some grey item that drops a lot or a few different items and make a scavenger hunt. 1st one to get to you with the items gets the loot.
There's plenty of things to do...interacting with other players can make for some fun times.
I have some pretty strong feeling with the achievement list. I am fine with the concept, however I don't think it should create a flip book of content. Look, we killed sarth alright, he was a dragon, and we fucking killed him. We don't need to try and kill him with 1, 2, or 3 drakes up. We need a new dungeon.
I feel like I am some old school dragon slayer, and after killing him, and saving the princess, RIGHT before i was about to get some action there was a thought in my head. "Wait, can I kill that dragon with no shield, or with 5 goblins chasing me? HOLY SHIT, bitch is gonna wait, I have to gain 10 non-refundable, non-currency achievement points!".
I feel like when we get to arthis in the future, and someone gets the first downing of him, he is going to start talking like Death from Bill and Teds, challenge me to battle ship or something. Maybe give me a little better loot, OH... and again, those 10 incredible achievement points.
No worries,30.9 on its way and 3.1 coming soon, once Ulduar hits you won't know what to do next
@ Laeltis
What you said makes no sense whatsoever, stop to smell the roses? My friend is a casual player, only plays on the weekends and hit 80 very quickly by doing many things the way he usually does them.
And, I got to 80 by mostly doing instances, so instances evidently aren't a way to stop and smell the roses now are they? Just because I enjoy getting into Raid Content before others doesn't mean I am a low-life at all. Also, I agree with Bastosa, I can not wait until Patch 3.1 releases, all of the new changes and Ulduar will be a blast, new raid = new gear = more pwnage = 5 man Naxx.
I disagree, what you did was rush the content, get it done. and now your bored, adn you think everyone is like this? a lot of peoples guilds still havent cleared naxx, and if blizz just keeps on handing out content everytime someone like you whines about nothing to raid not only will they run out of ideas but many will be left behind
Everyone always complains there isn't enough content blah blah wah wah, you don't like it, PLAY AN ALT! Yea, it get's boring leveling yet another toon, but do something different than hey I have a lvl 80 dps toon, lemme make another dps toon! NO! Make a tank or a healer! Something DIFFERENT! Stop whining.
Well i believe blizz needs to get new content out because, on my server my guild and many of the other major PvE guilds are sitting arround lvling alts to go through naxx and maly on because we have every thing done and on farm.
I totally agree. No more content, so I'm moving on to another game.
My 'progression' guild sent me an ingame email the other day saying i've 'failed as a raider' for not turning up to regular raids. These raids are just skinner box farming raids now, we've cleared everything.
I laughed. No way I'm sticking about in a game with nothing to do. I've only got one life.
You can always roll on an rp server.....
