Noblegarden Achievements and Taking Out the RNG

Noblegarden started on Sunday, and if you're like me, you want that Violet Proto Drake, which means you'll have to get your egg hunt on. Being a late addition to the Long, Strange Trip world event meta-achievement, the collection of achievements required to attain "the Noble" title was quite certainly affected by feedback from the player community regarding other similar achievements. If you remember, many players were upset that they had to rely heavily on the Random Number Generator (RNG) for certain parts of the other holiday meta-achievements. Luckily, Blizzard recognized this fact and both retroactively changed the Fool for Love achievement and decided against including random achievements in the Noble Gardener meta-achievement.
While there are still Noblegarden achievements that do rely on the RNG - Sunday's Finest and Dressed for the Occasion - they are not part of the Meta. This means it is basically possible - even with the worst of luck - to brute force your way to the title, getting one step closer to that 310% flying mount. Breaking it down, you'll have to open the following number of eggs to complete all of the required achievements:
100 for eating (Required for Chocoholic)
100 for Spring Rabbit's Foot (Required for Spring Fling)
50 for Spring Flowers (Required for Shake Your Bunny-Maker)
50 for Spring Robes (Required for Desert Rose)
5 for Noblegarden Egg (Required for Noble Garden)
This totals out to 305 eggs, which will take a bit of a time investment. If you manage to find an egg every 15 seconds, that will come out to over an hour of egg hunting. If you have more trouble finding the eggs, it will take even longer. Remember, this is the maximum number of eggs you'll have to open. Most people I talked to got at least one required item within the first 50 or so eggs they opened, so you'll probably need to open fewer eggs. By the time I had looted 300 eggs, I already found nearly everything I needed from the eggs, so I purchased the last thing I needed - the spring flowers - and picked up the Spring Circlet to complete my collection.
All of the other items you'll need for achievements are obtainable through other means. The Tuxedo Shirt, Tuxedo Pants, and Elegant Dress are all tradeable, meaning you can get Blushing Bride for a few coins at the auction house or even free if you find a generous person who will loan or give you a tux. Remember, though, you will not get Sunday's Finest or Dressed for the Occasion unless you specifically loot the items from eggs. The Blossoming Branch is a reward for the daily quest to turn in 20 egg shells and can be used on other players to help them get Hard Boiled. Remember to find someone who has one in their inventory to help you get that one. The Spring Circlet, for 50 chocolates, is not used in any achievements. Mages may want to collect the Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit, which can be purchased for another 100 chocolates.
Even though the requirements for the meta-achievement are not completely dictated by the RNG like Be Mine! was, they can still take a significant amount of time to complete. I'd estimate that it took me three to four hours to complete all of them, including collecting eggs, traveling, and finding all of those females for Shake Your Bunny-Maker. So, do you guys prefer having alternative ways of getting items in addition to the RNG, or would you rather just leave out the randomness completely? Or heck, would you prefer all of it to be in fate's hands?

hmm, i would like to do this event but i have my exams T.T
FIRST!!!!!!!!
i whould estimate that i have colleced a bit more than 200 eggs for the whole set i got 3 rabits foot 3 tuxedos 2 pants 2 circets 3 bucades 1 dress i guass you can call me lucky but for the past 2 days i been trying to get shake you're bunny maker and i only have all the aliance females and a blood elf and an undead i still a touren an an orc nd a troll any sugestions? allso i nooticed a a glich or something some tiems when i loged or got DCed i lost some chocolates i whould estimate i had lost about 80 chocolates like that any one ellse have taht problem?
it took me about 3 hours to finish the event, i found a nice little farm spot in goldshire that spawned between 4-5 eggs every 10-15 seconds.
I like it way better that the randomness was removed, and that you could purchase whatever u needed for the title.
Yes Elion you are First!!!!, the First!!! moron of this post, I guess it's whatever makes you happy.
I usually stay away from these events, but after a couple of days of seeing everyone else do them, I jump on the band wagon and try to have some fun. Thanks for spelling out what needs to be done.
Elion...you're a tool
i was wondering why with the new patch i all os a sudden got the Be Mine achievement and then the title. That acheivement was doing my head in. I grinded every hour of every day for candy bags and i never got them. So now one step closer to proto drake. Although i am going to get stuck at the Children's week one coming up because of my complete lack of pvp experience.
It's a great holiday, however once people begin to grasp and understand where the eggs spawn then it becomes a day of camping spawns points in each starter zone and beating others players to the eggs.
I agree with Wilson, this holiday ceased to be about running around finding eggs and more about sitting on a spawn location. Pretty lame.
I seemed to be lucky for the Shake Your Bunny-Maker achievement. Found all my horde in dalaran by the north bank and the dwarf female in Ironforge.. All the other Alliance females I held off on because I didnt want to blew my CD if i found the rarer females out there.
I became totally uninterested when I went to Elwynn and found a plethora of players camped at each spawn location. *Yawn*
Heroics and Wintergrasp suddenly became much more appealing.
@cocopuff - Please learn to type, and at least read over what your posting before you submit it.
This could be fun if it wasn't for all the egg spawn campers. Maybe they could have spread it out over the entire beginning areas instead of just around the towns.
I would love to do all of these holiday achievements for the prot drake if they weren't so boring. Brewfest and Hollow's End for me thanks.
@cocopuff
Dude you really need to type better, if nothing else just use Word to type it all then click spell check. There comes a point where your typing affects whether or not people can read and understand what you're saying.
Female orcs don't exist, a rare and fabled creature.
I had to barely open more than 200
100 for eating chocolate, and another 100 to purchase the Spring rabbit
The rest I have multiples of from the eggs
All I have left to do is find a female Tauren, Orc, and Undead!
Sorry for the double post, but to those who are attacking cocopuff, Please, I am 100% sure you knew what he meant to say, be more productive if you need to comment on what he said, answer his question instead of trying to tear him down
I would suggest trying to run around the Horde starting area where there is plenty running around for you to hit with the bunny ears. Just be careful to not attack the guards. Unless your on a PvP server, then I would just suggest doing battlegrounds. But I havnt had any problems with disappearing chocolate
cocopuff i had the same problem i lost many chocolates that way i found out the cause to. If you dont hit logout/exit game button before you turn off computer/alt f4 it doesnt kep track of some o your eggs you eat. Chocolholic is defenitly the hardest of the achievements for the meta.
shut up
i just wish bliz would make the events longer not enough time to do them
very easy event i gto all the items and now im doin the achievs the hard thing is find the orc female and troll the dwarf was the easiest cuz i got a girlfriend dwarf :D
I would have to say I was extremely lucky since I found everything in the eggs within the first hour of egg camping. I then proceeded in order:
1. Kissed a girl wearing a dress
2. Planted flowers in all the listed deserts
3. Hard boiled thanks to a guildie
4. Stuck an egg in SW
5. Shook that bouquet at the female of every race (took me 3 hours to find the Tauren female)
The RNG really sucks though since a lot of people, myself included, missed out on achievements because the damned item we needed never materialized. That particular effect should be removed... but then I guess we go back to "this game is too easy" mode again.
*le sigh*
I started this out on sunday morning at around 9 server, and was just gonna get enough chocolates to buy the pet, and call it quits when at about chocolate 97 the pet dropped and i already had the items, so I decided to complete the rest of the achievements, had to get a friend to log onto his horde character to complete it, finished at about 3 server time
It took me over 500 eggs to get all but one acheive. I didnt get the White Tux, so i just bought it and got the metacheive
