The Treacherous Life of a Bunny

At first, I thought my bunny-self was cute. I was just starting out my Noblegarden Achievement runs this week, and after locating and picking up a few Brightly Colored Eggs in Brill (and landing my 'I Found One!' achievement), I got my first transformation. I was collecting an egg, and all of the sudden - POOF! I was a purple rabbit. One of many, many purple rabbits frolicking through the small town in the search of winning the noblest of titles.

So I made use of the tools at my disposal. I equipped the wondrous Egg Basket from the quest giver and started spamming the use to speed-hop past my competition. Find one egg hidden in the bushes, collect it, move to the next, and the next, and the next - around in a circle until I was back to my starting point. Monotonous, yes. But I somehow felt at east with this simple task. I was a bunny, and I wanted my eggs. That's all there was to it. That is, of course, until I got a little more bunny competition.

Apparently, I was not the only one wise to the magicks of the Egg Basket. Other rabbits now also were speeding around, hopping right past me if I took too wide of a turn. I could no longer leisurely pick up the eggs - I had to rush to snatch it up at just the right time before some other bunny came along to steal it away from me. Some bunnies started waiting right next to where the eggs spawned so they could be the first ones to claim it the moment it appeared. But they, too, had to be careful. If they didn't pay close enough attention, THIS little rogue rabbit would swipe that egg without them knowing. Oh yes, stealth bunny form is real. Be afraid. Although, sadly, bunnies do not dance. I tried.

And so the rabbit-eat-rabbit collection process continued. I finished collecting my 100 chocolates to consume for the Chocoholic achievement (proving, once and for all, that eating too much chocolate does NOT make you sick!), and in the process found a Spring Rabbit’s Foot, a useless but cute Spring Circlet and some nifty Black Tuxedo Pants. And I swapped items with my guild bunny buddies to complete Blushing Bride. But I'm still working on finding the White Tuxedo Shirt for Sunday’s Finest and the Elegant Dress needed for Dressed for the Occasion. Also still working to finish up Spring Fling, Shake Your Bunny-Maker and Desert Rose. Thankfully, we still got a couple of days to tie up loose ends.

The most treacherous task (for a bunny) was the trip to Un'Goro Crater to complete Hard Boiled. You can NOT convince me that a cute, purple rabbit doesn't look like a tasty morsel to a ravenous Devilsaur. Don't forget to re-equip your weapons in case you run into some hungry beasts!

Well, this bunny is about ready to be a Noble Gardener. How many of you have succeeded so far, and what have been your favorite parts of bunny-dom?

The most enjoyable part about Noblegarden is stealing a campers egg when it just spawsn as you run past doing the Event as it should be done

I found the event rather fun. The first day was a mess but the days after, Much better. The running around maddly as a sugar enraged bunny was the most fun. It was way to boring to sit and wait for an egg in one spot. I did try to avoid the eggs that were camped just to be nice. The best was the shake your bunny maker. That was great! How often do you see a female orc? LOL

I got mine done the first day. Only took around 3 hours. Then again i also have some guildies that are very much into this stuff also (we all want the purple proto drake). Just keep tryin and eventually youll get the achiev. But remember: today is the last day!

the whole holiday was super easy... I got everything I needed in the eggs except for the egg I needed to place down in Silvermoon

I did the Un Goro quest with a friend and we just transformed down there with the branch instead of making the trek as a bunny

the HARDEST part of the whole thing... on my server... there are VERY FEW female dwarves... and as a horde... my only encounters with any of them were in Dalaran... I feel really sorry for the lowbies who wont be able to finish this until next year... boo

I was able to get an egg ebout every three seconds not camping and it took about 2 hours to get the title for me

I was literally FEET away from the hot springs in Un'Goro when a Devilsaur actually STOMPED on me in bunny form. IT WAS TRAUMATIC.

(Did finally complete the achievement on the next try, though!)

I had fun hopping around being a bunny. I switched from my human warrior to my blood elf rogue and it was like taking candy from a baby! In Goldshire, etc it was crazy full of people.. but there in Blood Elf territory, no problem. I got one sweet spot where 5 eggs would spawn! Not too shabby. But I didn't have time this week to get a lot of the bigger achivements done. oh well. It was fun!

I got it on the first day.
But so did most of my guild and we look silly with four of us having "the Noble" after our names when we were pugging 5 man instances earlier.

I believe it ends 11:59 Saturday by the way, :)

I spent my time in Brill, found a spot I could see 7 spawns and with a 5 second speed run, check 4 more. Plus at the hours I play, not too much competition. Just need to find a few ugly women to slap some ears on and do the lay an egg thing and im done. Guess I will eat the 150 chocolates I have left, while wearing me dress and bunny ears... barf!

you know you can just ask someone in ungoro to use that item on you that turns you into a bunny instead of walking to ungoro, right

It was a lot of fun. Had a guildie help me out. I got all the achievements and the title on Sunday when it started. The only one I didn't get was the "Sunday's Finest" achievement.

how do you do tthe veteran nanny achivement for childrens week wheaar do i get the pets

May 2, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterelion

The shake your bunny maker achievement was hard, but for hard boiled, u can actually just use the rabbit costume....

May 2, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterZeusan

I had a great time.

I decided to ignore the "bunny ears on the girls" and just do the achievements that were fun.
Same with the over-lapping orphan; I did the ones that were fun and ignored the rest (fie on Hard Knocks).

I wish I could keep my orphan past seven days and I'd like to keep some chocolates to change into a bunny in three months; but those are just wishes.

I really enjoyed being called back to my low level zone of my birth, Dolanaar. Brought back fond memories of a safe haven when I was just a wee lad, a hunter with no pet.
