Mountain Dew Game Fuel Pet Free Just for Registering

From MMO-Champion

While looking for more information about the new Mountain Dew/WoW cross over promotion, I came across their forums and found this post by the Gamefuel Admin. Turns out the pet is simply a prize to anyone who registers on the GameFuel site who has a Blizzard Account. While there's still no official word that the battle bots are the prize, it's pretty much been assumed by everyone to be the case. So if all you want is a new pet and you don't want to have to participate in the drawings, don't want to have to click on different ads, don't want to have to do your IRL dailies, you don't have to. Just head over to the Mountain Dew GameFuel site, register, and (somehow) you'll eventually get your pet. Might as well enter for some of the cool stuff they have to offer with the points you get for signing up, though. A new Alienware laptop sounds pretty good to me!

May 16, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterzolbin

May 16, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterzolbin

US Residents Only... suckage

May 16, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSteve

Is this also just in USA,.?

May 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBrightow

US players have had to put up with watching Chinese, Korean, and yes, European players all get exclusive pets, while we had no equivalent, and the whining was rarely as widespread as this. Be excited for your fellow pet collectors stateside, and let us savor our own little piece of exclusivity.

Bummer only for USA again.I get the feeling that Europe is left outside of all this blizz promotion

May 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterZafirius

Like Six said, It's not unusual for certain countries to be left out of certain promotions due to laws regarding them.

China got several unique pets due to promotions (iCoke promotions) and even more during the Olympics.

Europe got one of those Murloc pets that the rest of the countries weren't able to obtain them.

@ Six

GZ TO YOU ALL!!!!

A posting from the MountainDew Admin was posted on mmo-champion earlier stating that the Battle Bot pet would be free to anyone who signed up for the promotion AND had a Blizzard account in good standing (http://www.mountaindewgamefuel.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=43&start=20#p364" rel="nofollow">confirmation)

This is awesome on Mountain Dew's part! I'm interested to see if the bots will interact with others kinda like you can do with the Foam Swords or the Crashin'-Thrashin' Racers from Christmas.

The fact that every contest blizzard does is almost always for only U.S it sucks I mean come on game players come from all over the world give every one a chance im from canada just across the border and it makes me mad not to be able to enter these contests

May 17, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterkorbain

If they fight like the robots from a few christmas' ago this'll be cool. I signed up and started doing those 'dailies' in case the pet is associated to them.....

May 17, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDan

so do you just sigh up and they send you a pet info, or do you sigh up somewhere on the site that you play wow?

May 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAulann

@korbain

/agree, no love for Canada, even though I could drive 30 minutes and be in the U.S. and even though we play on the same servers. nope. no contest.

But anyway, I'm suprised they didnt make this a worldwide event... oh well, your lose Pepsi...

@everyone

The fact that they still let you sign up, even if your not in the U.S., is also pathetic.

@NextMemory

This isn't a conspiracy against non US wow players, there are rules regulating companies as far as the prizes they can give away, who is eligible, etc.. i'm sure they would like to get this competition (and therefore the web traffic) out to as many people as possible but it's not their choice.

May 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMB

The way the battle bots are most likely going to be handed out as a promo code. These will either be e-mailed to you or sent to your house. No one should worry when you will get them as I am sure they are on their way. I hope you have checked your address that you signed up on the site just in case it will be mailed out over land so you will get your pet.

May 18, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterThe_Hamster

what happens if i used a different e-mail for my dew registration then my wow e-mail will i still get the code for the pet e-mailed to me?

May 18, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterdaf

From what i have been reading most are saying that due to COntest rules differing in different places(Contest Rules in Place A Conflict with Place B - SO they have to choose one place or the other)

Example for the Arena Turny this year, US had to pay 20$ to enter, Canada Just had to write a letter?

Heck, what state is it in the US that you always see excluded to contest because of the States Rules???

If you have a issue that the contest rules will not work where you live see talking to a Rep and try to get the Rules of contest held where you live changed.

@ zolbin

Grow up pathetic kid..,

May 20, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMichael

(*insert long string of swear words in English, French, Japanese, Spanish, and Italian*)

Why the Hell would they let other contries register on this site if this stupid thing is only open to US citizens???

Goddess!! What idiots!!

May 20, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterOmbrenoire

I suggest that all non-US residents boycot Pepsi.

May 22, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSHivan

Who cares who it's opened to! Where in the hell is my damn pet?!?

May 31, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterHouston

For those of you in countries other then the crummy US and want a battle-bot... simply create the mtn dew account using any us address. just use ur brain ;)
