Soloing: Dorkins Does Dailies Part 14

Zand and our favorite hunter Dorkins are back, this time doing dailies for Knights of the Ebon Blade. Dorkins heads over to Death's Watch to pick up three dailies and heads over to Onslaught Harbor to take care of business. Find out how in this episode of Project Lore.

Good episode
I usually do the gryphon rider one and the raising ghouls one at the same time by going onto one of the platforms that are defended by a gryphon rider and killing the one on there and several others will come from their patrols getting close, which I just AoE down. This is because you don't need to use the bone gryphon to kill them and since you need to kill 10 and raise 10 ghouls it evens out really well.
The thing that annoys me about these quests though is how long they take because of the intel document quest. I always find it that I have to keep going for quite a while longer, and thinking either Blizz should make the key or intel document drop rate higher, or just give you more rep for that quest.
I also want to point out again Dorkins should get a proper bag, rather than ammo pouch. I'm not sure how long after shooting the argent tournament dailies, where I first commented on this, these dailies were filmed, but I still think it can't harm to repeat it.
So ye, GET A BAG DORKINS! =P

God i remember doing the Onslaught Harbor daily quests, for so long to gain rep with the ebon blade. Man the intel did drag on for longer ..and i mean drag. And the chest respawns are so low. Much prefer the ebon blade, leave our mark quest, where you impale 15 people with an ebon blade sword. Nice place to level up weapon skills, if you need to reach 400 on a particular weapon there, that and levelling an elite pet. But when i got exalted I got the2h sword they offer. And now I have a better one, ooooo Blizz make you work hard. lol. Gr8 ep anyways Mr Dorkins

Juggynaut, The Guardian Angel.
*dun dun dun!*

I did those quests for ages and got exalted with Ebon Blade. And yeah, don't need the bone gryiff to be able to take down the riders. Just aoe or go up against them, loot, get keys they drop, and raise them. I've done the Intel Gathering so much, sometimes I'd have like 12-20 keys and get all 5 documents in 2 minutes, lol.

Juggynaut the Seeker

Hahah, poor Juggy indeed. Dragged along as a Guardian Angel, most likely to discourage people from PvPing Dorkins while filming.

As far as the Death Rise daily quests, the absolute best way, most efficient that is, to do this that I've found is first to kill the Gryphon Riders as mentioned by landing on the towers and taking the one flying above it out and hoping you aggro some others while flying by. This allows you to get a stack of keys going, do the 10 riders and 10 raised dead and you will often find chests close by the towers as well.

Now, for EZ mode intel gathering, there are two boats in the harbor. Kill all the scarlet on those boats and I normally find enough Chests on the boats to get all 5 of my documents between both of the boats.

Doing this I was able to do the 3 Deaths Rise quests consistently in about 10 minutes. However, if someone else happened to be on the boats at the same time as me, it really hindered the intel gathering.

As a note, doing the Gryphon Rider quests on the stupid mount they give you is just bad, it's a slow mount (if you have Epic Flying), it does weak damage (if your DPS spec'd) and doesn't AoE. The biggest problem I've had doing it on foot though is it's a bit slower with melee characters, as it takes a while for them to fly to you and you need a longer ranged spell to pull some of the flyby groups, and sometimes they don't and other times they Evade out because of the tower geometry.

Also, another tip if you run out of keys a lot, there's a spot on the islands with an area where two bridges are that has around 10 or so Scarlet mobs that either spawn or patrol to there. It's great to drop in the middle and take em all out to get a bunch of keys. If yer a DK, it's a good spot to run into with Army of the Dead too. :D

Er, I say slower, but it's still not slower then using the Skeletal Gryphon. The last sentence was fixed to make sense.

These quests were pretty fun, didn't mind doing these day after day.
Compared to the argent tournament crap, which is totally lame.

What do you have to do to get the title "the Seeker"?

June 27, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAda

@Ada,
I believe you have to do a s$%# load of quests.

June 28, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterjmccreary13

3000, to be precise. If you have the Loremaster title, you should be pretty close since that involves 2,843 or 2,705 quests (for Alliance and Horde, respectively)
