Project Lore is Shutting Down

It is with heavy hearts that we have come to the decision to close Project Lore.

Looking back at when Project Lore first started, we knew it was an ambitious plan. Creating the site, the videos, the blog, and everything Project Lore was an amazing adventure. When we launched the site, we received great feedback. The passion you all showed as fans kept us going and helped grow Project Lore to be a place for World of Warcraft players to enjoy the camaraderie of each other outside of the game.

We've gone through a lot of changes in our time working on Project Lore. From the first crazy run through Hellfire Ramparts to our adventure through Naxxramas, from iZ3D to Squarespace, we've had a blast on this journey together.

All of us want to thank every fan out there for your support over the years. We'll see you in game!

Some of our bloggers wanted to let you know where you could find them in the future

i hate to sound like a downer but i knew this was gonna happen as soon as alexis and jerry left...it was going pretty good when wrath first launched but after that summer break and then the very long period of inactivity following it i just knew....ive been here snce the start and loved the show and its gonna suck to see it gone but that happens. people move on to bigger and better things

Sorry to sound mean, but even with Alex touting Project Lore as a complete web resource for WoW, the meat of the site was the videos. Project Lore has been dead since the videos stopped, and I was hoping for the VERY improbable return of the crew, but the blog was not supposed to be the main part of Project Lore. The past few months have been no new news(just copied from both wow.com and mmo-champion), and opinions of people who were using the Project Lore name. Not trying to be a downer, but it turned into 'just another WoW fansite'.

Sorry to hear it as you were always one of my favorite sites. But having tried to run my own blogs from time to time, I know just how much work and commitment it takes.

Sad to see you go, but everyone knew it was coming. This has been a very depressing place since the video crew totally lost interest with no warning or apology. I thank the blog crew for holding on as long as you did.

I really thought the site was coming into a new rebirth, with the strong blogging crew, the Protip's from heartbourne, and the Podcast (speaking of which, I guess the competition isn't going to have a winner now /sad face). I guess it just was trying to keep going too much for too long and finally broke down.
Project Lore shall be greatly missed, and though I shall wait a few days before I eventually take it off of my favourites bar, it shall soon, unfortunately, sink into lost annals of time.
Fair well old friend, may you rest in peace.

PS is this the last blog youl be posting or are we to see more blogs before the site is shut down?

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commentercocopuff

The videos were extremly helpful and I would not have been able to do Naxx without them. Sure there is always tankspot, but it lacks the comedy and feel of PL. The blogs kept me coming back to this site even when the video's halted, and often were my first source of information. Sad to see it all shut down. May you have the best of luck, and, keep your feet on the ground.

I started coming to the site from day 1, will really miss it and it helped me learn how to play my class and actually helped me pick my class (thank you Juggy and Goggins). i want to thank the continued patronage of Juggy, Pixie, Heartbourne and Amatera for their constant updates which has kept me in the know.

PL also mentioned me in a podcast, which i was happy to receive.

Thanks PL, you actually got me through some tough shit

Well if you are closing down, and just out of curiousity, you folks could kill one of the biggest Project Lore rumor... Who's the man behind the Juggy-box ?

It may have been answered already, but I don't know yet :P

Especially Pixies and Amantera's. But i have high hopes for you all in the future, and Hopefully Juggy will keep up with his live streams.

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterGabe

Wait a minute!

Does the site close or the guild close and if its just the site then doesnt that mean PL will still exist?

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKazzoo

What ever happened to the videos? did all the guys quit or something? Man! I'm really going to miss this site, its where i went for everything WoW. Well, i hope they make a new site or something or keep posts going somewhere.

March 1, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterdaemonbane

Damn, the contest was supposed to end in 2 days (my birthday). Too bad though, I really thought the site was going to come back as a respectable website, what with all the new stuff such as Protip, and even the website design. I really hope every single one of you does something that makes you all happy.
