Today we would like to introduce a brand spankin' new WoW themed comic, created by Björn Þórsson and Ívar Daníel Karlsson. Random Heroes will be a new feature on our blog, and below you will find the first two strips. We think it's off to a great start and we'd love to hear what you guys think, too!

Wow Kevin, those comments were unbelieveably pretentious. These are comics made by 2 young people on their computers, not something produced by a company.
I'd much rather see more comics of this quality than less that are more "professional". I think Björn and Ívar would do best to ignore any negative criticism and continue making comics this funny.
I find the whole webcomic industry a bit stupid anyway. Yhatzee says it best:

Uh NyumNyum? I was just making a point that if you're gonna have a site you want taken somewhat seriously then put more effort into things like this. Especially when it 'officially' represents your site..and where does it say young kids? I didn't see that anywhere, all I see is a couple foreign dudes (according to their names) throwing this together for fun.
...and if you think these are great the way they are currently.. Then go to drunkduck.com, you'll just about die laughing so hard and your eyes will explode out of glee at how many comics this quality are there. This comic would fit right in with the millions of Preteen kids throwing together comics on MSpaint and get mad that nobody likes them.
Look, I'm sorry I came across as kind of an asshole in my first comment. I was rather grumpy at 2am doing work for class the next day. You're right on that, my bad. Really sorry about that. I regretted it like almost immediately after I posted.
But I genuinely think they can improve this comic 10,000 times by doing some fixes. They have a great opportunity here doing this comic and if they simply half ass it. Then, well that's a shame.
I'm not gonna play the 'Mommy' role and say, "that was wonderful! Here, lemme put this on my fridge and never look at it again!" like most of you. I'm giving them some pointers that'll drastically improve their comic for the better. Somebody has gotta do it. If you wanna improve your comic, you need to be able to take criticism.
Yes the webcomic industry is utterly stupid. Actually you aren't helping your argument with that video as it's making a point that every single wannabe webcomic in the world is the same. Generic humor and mediocre art. (often done in MSpaint)
I just wanna see much more effort put into this comic.
Oh and I of course didn't send a portfolio. What was I thinking saying that, man I was a bigger asshole then usual last night. What the fuck is wrong with me.
If you guys need anything let me know. My e-mail should be there for them to access since it's required in the comments. Otherwise it's fine I understand. Good luck with your comic.
Hi everyone, first of all thanks for all the great comments, for those wondering about the missing limbs and noses, it's just the comic style :) (think rayman)
Hi Kevin, thanks for your input, i'd like to clarify some things if i could.
This version of the comic wasnt originally created to be posted on the web in it's current incarnation.
The comic sans, half assed frames and complete lack of the comic name should be obvious enough.
And yes, i am aware that breaking the 4th wall is a big taboo, but it will only be done in the introduction.
There are a tonn of comics out there that dont look that attractive when they first come out, but they usually improve within a few weeks. As for the comic style, many comics go through many incarnations before they settle on the right one, i'm sure once we get get used to all of this and as our skills improve you'll notice the difference.
I mean just look at CAD, Least i could do, penny arcade etc. etc..
As for our content i realise that we can't please everyone, but one mans dislikes could be another mans likes.
I've had people hate the first comic and love the second one and vice versa. All i can do is write something i find amusing and hope that others share my opinion.
Unfortunatly it might not be as relatable as i'd like it to be, take for example the giraffe comic. Unless people read up on the TBC changes they wont know what the hell it's about and why it's supposedly funny.
Anywho Just give it a few weeks. You should see some noticable differences in the next comic that should come out tomorrow. Feel free to tell me what you think then :)
True enough, and the no arms thing works fine. In fact I like the simplicity of the CAD Silly's art more then the actual comic itself! Heh. Trick is making it all look fluid. That'll come from practice.
Like I said, this comic has potential as long as you put some effort into it. I look forward to seeing where this comic is in 3-6 months. If you're as eager to improve as I believe, I have no worries. :)
Pleasantly surprised to see fellow Icelanders in here, keep up the good work guys.
nice :D
