I find it easier to tank him in the doorway with all the ranged dps and healer up on the ramp where you first come down then when he casts poison nova any melee dps can just run around the corner and not get hit tank does get hit though.

However, the other trick to tank him, is for Lyle to tank him in front of the door you come through, and when the Poison Nova starts, just run around the corner, so you out of sight, and it won't hit you guys. Anyway, nice job. Can't wait for the next episode.

You can Line of Sight the Poison Nova. Tank him in the doorway near the start. The healers and ranged stand at the end of the small hallway and duck behind it when he cast Poison Nova.

One 100% idiot-proof tactic is just to skip this boss, kill the second boss, and then pulling this boss to where the second boss was. You get the snake wrap achievement, AND the boss is almost dead when the adds arrive.

My groups always clear to the 2nd boss then pull this boss to the area right next to the 2nd boss. We've never wiped doing it that way.

Great episode guys. Easiest way to do tis boss tho is to clear first room. Skip the boss. Clear to the next room. Kill that boss. Then have your tank kite the first boss back to second room. If you have a shammy in your group, have him drop a earth elemental totem in the doorway. The boss goes down easily and you will probably get the achievement "Snakes, why'd it have to be snakes!"

try watching the last take again, he definitely used poison nova

Another good way to do this guy is to have the tank kite him back up to the entrance (up the stairs from where everyone is telling him to go) and DPS him upstairs. The adds won't come up there and the fight is cake.

LOL its very entertaining to watch you guys wipe ! :P However why didn't the hunters put down their snake trap? Or at least the fire nova trap.

I would note that the "correct" way to do Gundrak is from the other side. This allows you to kite this boss to the middle/2nd boss's room. The Poison nova can be avoided by line of sighting the boss, which is easy if he is tanked in the door of the second room. It also increases the time it takes for the snake adds to reach you and forces them through the tank.

A tip for you guys when you do that again is to tank him at the doorway so that when he does poison nova your dps and healer can hide behind the wall and have less distance to run.

Also because of how narrow the doorway is, it makes it easier for the tank and AOE dps to pick up adds before they get to the healer.

Dorkins should be using a Ferocity (cat wolf ect.) pet and not a Tenacity (gorilla bear ect.) pet for instances, Tenacity pets make great solo pets but don't really do the damage of a Cat or other DPS pet.. and since it seems he is still BM (Beast Mastery) alot of his damage comes from his pet and he is gimping his overall damage and damage per second (if he cares about those things)

I hope to see Jimmy back in action even if he is a lower level than 80.. instances are a great place for pet XP

Good to see Jeff more aggressive, keep pushing Lyle for threat, threat in wrath for tanks is totally different than bc and should not be an issue.

GJ Guy's this boss is the worst of this instance,but the easiest way to kill him and I think someone mentioned it on here already is for your tank to take him to the top of the stair's where you enter the instance where the melee will be waiting at top of stair's and your healer and range are away on the left hand side,so they can't get hit by nova,this is probably the best way to down the boss if your group isn't to strong and if your group is strong the boss should be down before add's come up the stairs.

2 big issues, 1 lyle's gear might not be that good seeings how he just hit 80 and is juggy resto speced? if not he needs to be for heroics.

Well, since Juggy actually heals thru it, he obviously don't need to respec? :P

not sure if some1 else said already didnt feel like reading all comments but poison clensing totem and aspect of the wild helps a lot in this fight if ur having the tank stay in and healing through the nova

Well guys I just have to say nice job, I did a pug with that instance soon after I hit 80 and we wiped 12.5 times (.5 is because our shammy healer reincarnated) NIce Job Again and grats on level 80 lyle grats to all of you keep up the nice work.
