errrr fishing really? i mean surely there are more exciting achievement than fishing. Not the more interesting ep, but Zand is still funny as hell

FIshing is actually quite fun until you start having to fish like 20 to level up. Also I am terrible at it and my fish always escape. :(

March 10, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterArmateh

well fishing is at a high level also a part of another achievment where you have to be grandmaster in fishing, cooking, and first aid to get

i have to say, i really feel for u Dorkins. Ur taking time away from better stuff u could be doing to fish for hours on end for us. I myself am gonna say dont do it, its nice ur pointing out these kinds of achievements, but i think of myself doing this and for some reason i start to see a gun to my head.

the way i actually did mine was, schedule like an hour a day to fish. I mean a majority of my schedule in playing the game is towards raiding but when i wasnt raiding, i would set time in which to farm herbs, fish, quest, and other things to get the vast amount of achievements i have.

"that's something that's kind of nice about fishing... it's almost like, being outside"
- dorkins

Rofl if you check Dorkins' armory, u can he se gave up at 49 fishes xD (might be for another achi to show maybe? :) ) Still a long way till 4 trillion fishes.. GL! :>

hahah, the achievement sound is like drugs. there's an idea for making fishing not so mind - numbing

March 10, 2009 | Unregistered Commentersandwix

A good place to lvl your fishing and also work towards another fishing achievement is the forlorn cave in Ironforge. The fishing is low lvl and you can try to catch Old Iron Jaw for that great Achievement sound high.

IRL fishing is actually quite fun, if you have:

A. a kano.
B. couple of six-packs.
C. Dynamite or a shotgun.

*canoe

Doing fishing and cooking can get you lots of achievements and make fishing more fun because of the different places you need to visit.

I used this guide/site for fishing tips.
http://www.elsanglin.com/fishing_and_cooking_alliance.html

I think if he had got the 15 Pound Mud Snapper (not 10 that he got) he would of got 'One That Didn't Get Away' (http://www.wowhead.com/?achievement=878)

You know whats better then fishing in wow?
Watching Dorkins fish in wow.

March 10, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterTalcoya

Fishing is something you do to pass the time, I usually go fishing rather than doing my other profession after spending hours on raiding or PVP.
Good atmosphere, good relaxation technique :D

March 10, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAldei

The only reason I'm high at fishing is because Alterac Valley had cues and I fished in SW while waiting for it to start.

10 min at the time...

"Who ever invented fishing in this game needs to be shot, this is torture" - dorkins

Lol...have you ever tried it in RL? I saw my uncle fishing once and it took him about 15mins to catch a single fish -.-'
I find it really boring and a waste of time

Yay! Fishing.
At Stormwind canals @ Lvl10. You can fish to level 150. Grab the recipes from the vendor next to the trainer, go to Ironforge and get the recipes there. Fishing 150 & Cooking 150. If you place yourself where Lil Timmy spawns while you fish, buy his White Kitten. In the canals there is a chance (twice for me) the '1' Ring will drop.
Level 10, you got 150 fishing, 150 cooking, a kitten that will sell for 5-10g and a ring that sells for 30-ish gold.
Fishing in the right spot = win.
If you find yourself in The Barrens, fish Deviate Fish. Either sell them raw for big profits, or buy the Savory Deviate Delight recipe, cook them yourself and count the Gold you get.

There is nothing wrong with fishing that can't be solved with a 24 and having a TV hooked up in the same room as your computer.
