As you're reading this, the maintenance period for patch 3.1 has been extended, but very shortly, the gates of Ulduar will be opened, Emalon the Storm Watcher will start giving out free purples to whoever controls Wintergrasp, and duel specs will be live! Keep in mind that your talent points will be reset and you should probably take care of that before entering Ulduar.If you haven't already, go watch the official cinematic trailer. Note that it does contain spoilers if you have not completed the Wrathgate questline.
Here are my observations from the trailer:
- Jaina Proudmoore has a new (old?) face! Instead of using the standard human female face model, she now has her own face that looks much more like her old model in Warcraft III. I've never played an Alliance character so I'm not too familiar with her "old" "WoW face" and like this new one much better.
- Garrosh Hellscream is one hotheaded little Mag'har orc. For being such a pansy when he was chilling in Nagrand, he is certainly taking after Grom.
- The Horde/Alliance conflict is being featured quite prominently. It makes me want to transfer back to a PvP server. It reinforces my suspicions that 3.2 may not contain a major raid and be PvP oriented.
- It is heavily implied that Yogg-Saron has influence over both Garrosh Hellscream and Varian Wrynn. I wonder if we will see a parallel of Grom Hellscream breaking free of the Burning Legion's influence by killing Mannoroth with Garrosh and King Varian. Not likely; maybe down the line leading us into the next expansion.
- Rhonin finally speaks! Rhonin is quite an epic character in the lore and seeing him play an active and audible role is awesome.
What is the first thing everyone is going to do in patch 3.1? Join up with your guild and hit Ulduar? Argent Tournament? Learn dual spec?

I'm heading straight for the Argent Tournament myself, as I doubt I'll find anyone willing to pug Ulduar 10.

If anything I will only have time to download and do my dailies. I do taxes part time (payroll is my FT job) so it will be another 14 hour work day followed by one more mad rush of clients. So I won't see anything till Thursday more likely.
After that I am really looking forward to Argent Trounament and the new wing in VoA.

The guild has Nax25 planned, I'm assuming I wont get to see 25 man Ulduar till Monday, hopefully we will get a ten man group in there this week!
I'm probably going to go pickup my new fishing pole first thing. I'm skipping the tournament and everything tonight, though, it'll be way past my crowd tolerance for sure.
So, just going to do that, check my addons, and respend my talent points. Maybe try one of the new fishing dailies if I'm feeling like it and Fishing Buddy works.
new faces , new stuff , i enjoyed watchin it even if it was short, watched it on youtube actually and i saw 1 of the comments there it was sthing like : "has wow turned into a soup opera?" , well it started as a soup opera , kind of , and i hope to see more of it, all of blizzards games are based on some story, and a game whit out it would be dry, cant realy comment on the video; its nice =D
PS: How the hell can some1 comment on a characters face that much ;p ?

And yes, I mean it. I want to pick on the new old pet I"m able to get now. Then its on to the terny to see what I can pick up right off the bat, seeing as I"m maxed rep with all the alliance groups and I"m alittle iffy on what the new mount mean by "must be exalted with....." I"m not sure if that means I can get them from the start or if I need to do other things but the max rep is needed as part of it.
But the best part will be looking around and finding all these things out
Only 2 words could ever be used to describe the trailer: Bad Ass. I LOVE how they made the trailer more story driven instead of the usual background lore. The Character Models are pretty high def, whether its reflecte din game or just for the trailer, Im not sure.
Yes, Rhonin speaks! Yes Garrosh speaks, and I know know that I have mispronounced his name for ever. Thrall sounds awsome, and lets not forget, Varian Wrynn!
For voice files, he sounds bad ass. Looks, bad ass, attitude bad ass, quotes, pure epicness. "Im DONE with your Horde. May this Death God...take you all"

Kæotic is taking a 10man group into Ulduar whenever we get the people on! Unfortunately, I am an alt raider for that raid, I hope someone doesn't show, lol.

Will have Dual spec Raid/PvP very soon, Argent Tourney will be a swift battle for me probably, Ice crown was always easy for me.
That trailer was superbly epic, but you can't really talk about it unless you know the lore. One of the guys I follow on You tube posted it and I got into an argument with other You tubers because they're idiots ...

It really depends on what happens on my server. If the vastly outnumbered horde are online and not the alliance and we take WG, I'll be taking the guild on a tour of the new VoA boss and show them what's up with that.
If not, then I'll be grabbing my dual spec (which I'm still up in the air about Prot/Ret or Prot/Holy) and tweaking my glyphs and spec and such. After that it's probably going to be a guild poll as to if we try Ulduar or not or go into naxx or Malygos...
But if we end up not raiding then I will be hitting up the Tourney cause I want to start saving up them tokens...
that trailer gave me chills when i watched it. it was simply amazing to see the story actually unfold in another cutscene like the wrath gate....and im reading the war of the ancients trilogy and it is so awesome to see rhonin speak and act...anyway
probably gonna do some argent tournament stuff before enough of my guild is on to raid ulduar
Since I can barely manage to heal through regular CoS and HoL and am still attempting to gear through heroics, I'll likely pick up every quest/daily possible in icecrown/storm peaks and burn through them for the dual-spec cost (assuming it is 1000G). I already have my pally's ret gear and everything. Just have to respend current talents and all that jazz.
I'm going to get Argent Tournament. I wont be spending 1000g on dual specs straight away and I wish I could see Uldar but I don't think I will.
Lol loved the trailer for ulduar, my favorite part was at the beginning brann screams...lol i watched it 15 times. Other than that im exited for the new VoA wing.
after Ulduar comes out.........im doing Naxx.

Yo just a heads up but there is a nice ilvl 200 2h dps sword at the argent tourney for 25 champion's seals.
it'll help you out with your ret spec.

DUAL SPEC AND ULDUAR!!
First gotta ding 80,then:
-Hit heroics,and gear up
-Do pre-3.1 raids for purple gears
-/pray to get in a guild raid with the big Juggy and the guys from PL =]
-Ulduar,Ulduar and more Ulduar
Argent Tournament and Dual Spec are gonna be in between of some of these tasks
Level my level 24 druid, and completely ignore my paladins due to the giant storm that will happen in Northrend today.
definitely gonna learn Duel spec first and get a lockdown on where to spend all my reimbursed talent points. Then it's off to explore! argent tournament, then prolly ulduar :)
that is- if they can get the servers up today >.<

I parked myself right next to my trainer for new skill training, then it's VOA, then Argent Tournament.
Should be an exciting night.
Our guild is planning to clear all of ulduar25 content when the servers are live and running. Just to prove that blizzard is really slacking in terms of game difficulty. Making it too easy just to let more see raid content will just make the hardcore raiders that drives the game QUIT!
WoW will fade if not by Xmas then soon after 2010.
