When Will Wrath Be Released?

While we all wait for our WotLK beta keys (except for Alex, that s.o.b.), it's fun to speculate about how long exactly we will have to wait to hit Northrend with the force of two spirit wolves. Hmm, I guess that doesn't really sound very intimidating. Just you wait, though. You won't want to mess with my spirit wolves. Anyway, I don't know many players who aren't looking forward to getting their hands on some Wrath of the Lich King content.

Apparently it is news that somebody mentioned that Blizzard still plans on releasing Wrath of the Lich King before the end of the year, but not before October. Word on the street is that Blizzard is aiming for a November release, which makes sense plenty of sense. Of course, WoW's first expansion, The Burning Crusade was also planned for a Q4 release in 2006, but it managed to get delayed into Q1 of 2007. So, with no official release date confirmed, when do you guys think the much anticipated expansion will be released for real?  My randomly assigned guess is November 18, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it come out a bit later than that.

I would agree with the November release. I was thinking around Nov 25th but I can see the 18th working. I hope it comes out by the end of the year I'm ready for the new Ret talent tree, that just looks to sick.

I'm thinking December 1st? Unlikely but sort of a nice fit with the northern hemisphere winter holidays ^_^

Jan 2009, judging from the last expansion release. hehe.

I think that the November release aboslutely makes sense, with Christmas around the bend and all, but like you said, a December release would be no big surprise. No matter the release date, I can't wait to get in on it.

My random guess - Nov 23? ... we'll have to wait and see.

Keep up the good work guys.

Usually all good games I look forward to say it will release in the summer and then it happens to sell near the holiday season. Im guessing it's a selling strat? Idk....

Black Friday. That would be funny. People already lining up for crazed shopping, might as well make 'em line up for their favorite game :P

Come november bliz will wait till gas prices are at their highest make some silly excuse that gas prices are affecting the computer programming, shipping of the exspansion's to stores, then around xmas they will say elections will effect names of nps e.g (haris pilton Shat). Then computers programmers will want extended xmas vacation claiming wow cause's stress then take sick leave. while they are gone blizz will make a deal with microsoft to have the exspansion only run on window's vista causing millions of addicted wow fans to go into dept trying to upgrade their computers sending china wow gold stocks plumetting to the point they will trade it for rice. Millions of underpaid teens enter the workforce boosting the economy within a month America is out of a ressesion Obama is elected president and take all the credit for it. So about feb 2008 did i miss anything?

Well my friends are on the beta, and apparently its screwed up. Blizz has yet to even realease the last parts of Northrend, you can only get up to lvl 77 so far. And the profession recipes are yet to be released. Im gonna guess the expansion is gonna come out in December. Seeing that Blizz always finds a way to screw up a game.
And apparently, caster gear is all the same. It all says 'spell power,' even for healing gear (which gets me mad, there are gonna be mad ninjas. well thats what happened in the beta.)

This expansion is gonna ruin the game. Kinda. Especially since most people have yet to face Kil'jaeden.

August 3, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterFieryluffy

Blizzard has no need to put it in the holidays, they know it'll sell, whenever they release it and I personally don't think anyone wants wotlk as present(having to wait till christmas to enter northrend?no way!)
My guess for release date:21st november

Next year that is

November sounds about right. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed back, though, to December or even January.

I just hope I don't miss out on any world events this time around, unlike with the Burning Crusade expansion... T_T
