Love is in the Air 2010: No More Love

Love is in the Air is over and done with, but not before I made a major mental lapse.  Amatera was kinda enough to remind us on Saturday that the seasonal event ended that night, but I hadn't acquired a single Love Token upon reading his PSA.  The event is far easier than in the past, but there was still a limit on the number of tokens one could acquire in a given day.  Unfortunately, the limit is lower than the amount required for a Truesilver Shafted Arrow.  I thought I had more time!  My rogue now has to stare at 30xLove Token in his bank for the next year.

Thankfully, my gnome-sized brain doesn't bear any weight on the random number generator.  After farming for the Toxic Wasteling for just half I week I saw it drop twice, winning it on my second attempt.  I wasn't so lucky with the love rocket, but I was mainly there for the gremlin pet

Considering my acquisition of a rare pet and the accumulation of various achievements, I'd call 2010's Valentine's Day event a success for me.  After all, Peddlefeet's absence from my pet bag is no one's fault but my own.

How did the rest of you do?  Anyone score a love rocket and complete What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been?

Not bad at all, I have one question though.

Why didn't you buy 10 necklaces in the AH, exchanged them for 10 Love Tokens and then bought Truesilver Shafted Arrow?

And to answer your question, I just missed the Black Dress. I was just going for the Title ;)

I did the V day boss every day for the entire holiday and only saw the Toxic Pet drop 4x. So naturally I didn't win it. This Holiday has definitely left me pining for more.

Bad resource management on your part. Things to remember:
a) majority of items is not BOP - you can trade them between people (chocolates)
b) pity the fool can be shares - one person sets up the dummy, everybody pities
c) power of alts. As long as you have one in the capital, they can run the basic daily (sprinkling people with perfume etc.). THey can earn 5 tokens which you can use to buy missing items (only few are BOP).

dont forget about it if you run into the same problems during midsummer...

When I was filming Protip, I thought the Black Dress was required for the meta-achievement and wasted like 500g buying necklaces to get it. OH WELL

It takes alot of dedication to get peddlefeet and the achive so what i did was do alot of heroics raids and what not and then did the charm bracelets for race leader stuff dailies 5 cards each so its a bit tricky but when u do it might get u peddlefeet and the achive (unless you have been unlucky to not get what u need for the charms)

disturbs me how u get the charms when u kill an enemy in someways due to the text the item that allows u to get the charms.

Yeah, I got the oozeling on my main and took it out in the deeprun tram while on my way to IF for the elder. I was rather disappointed that the ooze didn't get huge after eating half a dozen little rats.. I wanted this giant ooze to follow me around. hehe

Don't worry, Splinter isn't there. He's in the Dalaran sewer (by one of the ramp bits in the Arena part) along with the 4 ninja turtles. Or, well, they used to be. They were the first thing I got my oozling to eat! =P
