Where's the Joy in an Alt?
So I've been leveling an alt. Now I will say that I have a lot of alts. Mostly from starting a character before I had a 70 and just losing interest before they were done. My first character was a Troll Hunter. I got her to 31 before the Burning Crusade... Well then of course we all had to roll Draenei, so I started a Paladin. After getting him to level 52 I realized I just didn't like Pally that much. I never wanted to Tank, I hate healing, and the melee DPS just wasn't kicking it. So I started what was to become my main, a Night Elf Rogue! Now that I have a full level 70 I've been wanting to level another. So I started a Druid... but I hate leveling again! So where is the fun? Is the fun seeing how fast I can level? Maybe trying to find quests I missed on my first go? I just don't know. So please if you have an opinion on how to level an alt without gouging your eyes out with boredom... comment here and let me know.

By now, it's probably pretty obvious that I have a new 70 which I am pretty excited about. Somebody brought up a good point on vent the other night, though. With Wrath of the Lich King creeping up on all of us pretty quickly, I have to decide how much time and gold I should put into gearing up my little warlock. I could save all of my money and be pretty well off for when the expansion comes out, or I could put tons of money into upgrades that might prove meaningless in 6 months while having fun and learning a thing or two along the way. I'm probably going to end up closer to the latter than the former.
I've nearly maxed tailoring and have made two out of three pieces of my frozen shadoweave set, which has already cost me a fair amount of gold. I still need to gem those pieces and make the final piece of the set, and then I will probably start running more heroics and maybe head into Karazhan with an over geared guild group. I don't think I will be spending tons of money to completely maximize Xeno's performance, but I won't hold back if I've got the resources on hand. Learning the dynamics of playing a warlock in instances and raids will also help me as a player, even if warlocks' play styles change in Northrend. So, given the amount of time I have to enjoy playing at level 70, I think I just won't worry about being rich in WotLK until it comes out. After all, spending money is more fun that saving it, and I play to have fun.
Shaman Vs Warlock

As I said earlier, I recently got my warlock his last ding until WotLK comes out. I have had a chance to bring him into a few instances, and I really enjoy it as a change of pace compared to my shaman. I'm definitely on the bottom of the DPS charts, but I can bring a few different things to a group as a warlock instead of a shaman. Don't get me wrong, I love my totems, heroism, and general ass kicking ability, but sometimes it's just fun to throw dots. I've still got a lot to learn in order to become more effective, but that's all part of the game. I'll get there eventually, but for now I'm ok with the fact that I am the weak link whenever I'm on my warlock.
I must have run into a horde version of Xeno the other night while farming some Primal Life for a healing enchant. Of course, we all know that the horde consists of jerks and that warlocks are arrogant, so he decided to attack me. I, being a badass enhancement shaman, tore through his cloth wearing, emaciated blood elf face in a couple seconds. I then /apologized to him as I saw that he hadn't released, and then I engaged another level 62 bog lord nearby. As expected, the warlock used his soulstone and began attacking me again. Having been killed once again, I figured he had learned his lesson. However, just a few minutes later, I was forced to kill him once again. I can't help but wonder what made him keep trying. If it was me, I would have given up and run away with my freshly rezzed tail between my legs, as I have so many times (remember, I'm an enhancement shaman). Of course, with the mishmash of greens and blues on my warlock, I probably would have avoided screwing with a melee class that has beautiful badge weapons both enchanted with mongoose. Don't ever tell me horde are smart.
Dorkins Says...Heal My Pet
Me: There are five men in this group right?
You: Right
Me: No, wrong
You: Wrong?
Me: Yeah wrong. You see that huge white tiger standing next to me?
You: Yeah
Me: That's f***ing Jimmy and he's my pet and he's part of this group, so that makes six of us.
You: Oooookay. So what?
Me: So what?!?! So he is just as important as everyone else. And because I'm a Beast Master he provides almost 35% of my f***ing dps. Not only that, but with Ferocious Inspiration everytime he crits a mob in the face, we as a group gain 3% to all damage! And trust me he crits a lot.
You: Fine he the sixth man, your a Beast Master he helps your dps, and give us some Ferocious stuff. Now, why are you telling me this?
Me: Because you're the healer a**hole!! Just like anyone else in the group, if you see him dying, throw a heal his way. Got it?
You: Yeah, whatever.
Me: A**hole.
Activision Blizzard Takes Over The World

Well, it's officially official. Activision Blizzard is now the world's largest publisher of video games. While Blizzard's FAQ states that the merger will have no effect on anything of much importance at Blizzard, the company has already started selling (and has already sold out of) plastic accessories designed to enhance the World of Warcraft experience. Remind you of any other games published by one of these companies? The problem is that this piece of plastic is just for security purposes, and all you do is punch in numbers from one screen onto another. What is this game, a giant spreadsheet? Far from a new game enhancment. Blizzard should grab a couple of developers from Activision to make a guitar that requires a kick ass solo before you can log in to WoW. Everyone knows that Vivendi could learn a thing or two from Blizzard, but Blizzard still has a ways to go with accessory based gaming experiences.
